Love staying in state parks when traveling. Fantastic park, big lots, super camp host. Missouri has a great system for booking. Will return when in area.

Missouri does a great job with their state park campgrounds! This place is beautiful,very clean. Bath house was spotless.

Nice Quiet Place

Very friendly camp host. Cool trails to hike and a nice lake.

Great state park. Very clean, most sites are very shady. Friendly camp hosts. Clean bath house. Only drawback is the WiFi- web site says it’s available at this park, but it’s only at the bathhouse and is very, very slow. You’ll do better with a cell phone hot spot.

Beautiful Setting

Showers were very clean. Hosts#2 were very cordial. This is a hidden gem, for sure. Will stay again. Just wish some trees were trimmed

So Quiet And Relaxing

We loved staying there Aug 5&6. Very quiet, clean, spacious with shaded lots. Level and mowed. Only no full hook ups. Otherwise, great. Ladies, only 20 miles from the best quilting shops in the world!

Stay Here !

We were going to stay 2 nights. We ended up staying a week. Great hiking here. Hamilton quilt town is nearby ! If you can - stay here, and you will see how great it is. Check it out !

Home Is Where You Park It

Wow! Beautiful, clean, well kept campground. Hugh level paved sites on rolling hills. Couldn't ask for any better. Linda the camp hostess was very helpful and friendly, with siteseeing and even training our dog. We were here in the off season, so showers were not open. Still had water, electric and use of dump station. Beautiful hiking trails. We will be back!!

Worth Going Out Of Your Way

Bravo to the Missouri State Park officials. They have done their homework and know campers want clean and neat. The new bathhouse was very clean and comfortable. The layout of the sites allowed for easy access and privacy. The hosts were friendly and helpful as were the other guests. I could imagine that it would always be full in season and on weekends with its proximity to K.C. We were there mid Sept on a Sunday night and there were a few vacancies. Our site 59 was a pull through and paved though sloped in both directions. Most of the other sites appeared more level.

Second Visit

We were here last year and thoroughly enjoyed this park. It is a beautiful, secluded little place. The camp host drove her golf cart to our spot and made sure that we were lined up. We had electric only but they have water and sewer available near the entrance. From here or you can visit Missouri star quilt company, Harry S Truman presidential library and the World War I Museum, all within an hours drive.

Limited Off Season Value.

It's open, but no baths...etc. good off season overnight. Beautiful surroundings. Very convenient to I-35. I would stay again.

One Of The Best

Great park. Clean restrooms, nice staff, trails are kept very well and weekend nature classes for kids. Highly recommend.

Very nice

This was our first camping trip and everything was great. Easy pull through lots, clean nice bathrooms. The trails were nice. Not the best fishing but everything else was perfect.
