Remote And Beautiful
We stayed here for an overnight and were very pleasantly surprised. This is clearly an older park, with rock buildings and walls dispersed throughout the park and wooded, widely-spaced sites. There were very few people staying here, and we had our pick of quiet, private sites tucked back into the woods. We spent a very peaceful night under the stars. If you like disc golf, this state park also has a nicely marked out course that winds through the woods. We didn't use the bath house so I can't speak to them, but we found this park to be a hidden gem, with beautiful sites, quaint buildings, and friendly park staff. We would definitely stay here again.

Go Fish!
Just passing through so stayed one night. Only about a dozen others so plenty of sites to pick from. Quiet, shady, level site. Most sites are fairly short. Fine for our 25’, but anything over 35’ will be tricky. Walked the lake loop trail, nice right now but will be overgrown soon. I would have fished a little but the lake is choked with weeds. This has the potential to be a 5 star park, but it needs a lot of TLC.

So Sad
Checked on line first to see if they had openings, they were supposed to. Arrived at gate 3:30 sign said park full. Tried to find someone no luck until someone came in gate and told us to drive to office, it was locked. Finally we were told to find a site and come back in the morning to pay. Every site post still had the weekend tag on the post. We were told they had a busy weekend. This was Wednesday. Guess they must get a few days off to rest. This could and should be a great park, beautiful Lake great CCC built structures but everything is falling apart. Docks and fishing piers are not safe to walk on. Nature trail is nice but also unsafe in many places. Stayed the night in an almost empty park, only three other. Wonder how many turned around a went elsewhere when the sign still said park full for three days.

First Night
We have been tent and van campers for years. This was our first night in our new 31 ft travel trailer. The hooks were great. The site was great. The shower house is older, but plenty warm on a cooler morning. The road does have lots of roots as someone else pointed out, but it wasn’t a problem if you go slow. We didn’t get the chance to see much of the campground but we liked what we did see. The site was easy to get into, plenty of room for the slide out to open. And the dump site was as clean as I would hope it would be.

Nice And Peaceful
After three days of driving this park was peaceful and pleasant. Elec, water, wooded with lots of space and shade. Few people here even on weekend. Concrete pads but asphalt road bumpy with roots. Bathhouse good but older. Beautiful lake, good fishing, cabins, lodge, picnic area, playground. Discount for seniors. Stayed two days in 30 ft MH with tow.

No water this week due to well inspection. Some aspects of park are in a bit of disrepair but sites were nice and wooded. Road noise noticeable depending on where you are. Pretty nature trail around lake. Good proximity to Oxford.

Stopped after a long drive. What a pleasant surprise, nice quiet, beautiful park. Pet friendly. Hardly anyone here, but is the middle of the week. I would come back if I came through this way again.

Passing Through
Beautiful place. Barely fit our 38' trailer into the spot reserved for one this large. Do not follow the navigation down Old Highway 7. Go to the State Park sign.

Totally Relaxing
We stopped here for an overnight stay. We wished we could have stayed longer. We had the whole park to ourselves. There is a little road noise, but not too bad. The shower house was OK.
