Worth the Trip
I disagree with previous review. I called from Mississippi welcome center, about 20 miles away, talked to Randy, gate attendant, and he walked me through everything. I did have to go to recreation. Gov and reserve the pull through site that he recommended. But no problem. I was on site, hooked up and out of the rain within the hour.
Great site, pull through, with water and electric.
Will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Reservation Only Park
This park is now named Jamie L Whitten Historical Center and is a reservation.gov park. Do not try drive up, there are no drive up sites. We were told they are booked solid well in advance. The Center sign did not show a campground.

Really Nice!
Stayed three nights and loved it! Half price with America the Beautiful pass. I think it was $12 per night.

Lakeside. Quietly Beautiful.
We stayed off season (mid December). We were the only campers on the lake sites. We couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. If it’s available, try to get site 11 or 12.

Definitely off the beaten path and a very lovely spot. Well maintained and level concrete pads with grill, fire pit, lantern hooks, and table at each spot. Bathrooms were very clean! Nice play place and volleyball and basketball nets, frisbee golf and vending machines available. I’m sure we’ll be back again.

2002 Itasca Spirit
I've stayed here 2 times and both times I never wanted to leave! First time was this summer on site 60 for a week.
I'm currently staying at site 28.
Both premier sites and both worth the money!

Nice, clean showers, if you want TV and WIFI forget about it! Price is right. The premier spot had a tag on it but nobody showed up, that was irritating!

Gorgeous
We stayed in the off season, right off the water and we're amazed at the natural beauty and wildlife here. The campground host was polite and helpful. It gets busy in the summer, so plan accordingly. By the way, if you want to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset you need to BYOB because Fulton is in a dry county.
