As noted, this is a good stop. We came for two nights so I could find some red cockaded woodpeckers nearby. If you are in a large monster rig isolated from the world, it makes a good stop. Smaller rigs will get more involved in the local activities :) on one side of the park are two baseball fields and on Tuesday night when we arrived there were two little league games and lots of people everybody having fun. On the other side of the park is a covered pavilion for horse activity and there were lots of horses going over there and lots of competition. Everything seemed to settle down by 10:00. Town nearby has plenty of good restaurants. Except for the dirt, the bathroom would get a high number on my 1 to 10 bathroom scale. I don't think it's been cleaned sometime. $30 a night, 27 if you stay more than one night.

GREAT STOPOVER

Perfect place to pull in for a night or two. This is a nicely maintained county municipal recreational center with parks, sporting fields & a riding arena. The RV Park is situated between the facilities. The park is gravel with concrete pads...full hook ups with back-in's & pull-thru's. The cost is $25 a night with a drop box to place your check payment. A Camp Host lives on the premises & is very friendly. The area is well lit and safe...very quiet at night while we were there but during tournament or horse events, I'm sure it fills quickly. They do not take reservations, however if you call the day of your arrival, the Camp Host will let you know how many slots are open and if any events are scheduled during your stay. The town of Brookhaven is super cute and close to the RV park, with many dining options. We drove through the downtown area & loved seeing so many business thriving in the historic district. We will definitely stay here again!

Nice clean place. Plenty for all ages... Swimming, boating, biking, hiking. But keep in mind it IS a DRY county.
