Very fortunate to have a great state park so close to the twin cities! Please check out park camping sites before you make a reservation that’s what I do before I go to any camp grounds! My site was very nice and semi private the trails were nice with great views!very nice park and I will be going back to the park again!

Very friendly staff was kind enough to alert us to a fireworks display (and jump our dead truck battery). Sites are small but nicely separated from each other. Showers are showing their age but water is warm. Mosquitos were pretty bad but the river was flooded during our visit and bites are to be expected this time of year. Possibly the quietest park we’ve ever stayed in.

Full Time

Check the sites carefully. Says 60 ft sites but we couldn't fit our 40 ft without tree damage to our rig. Gate says we can fit but they have never owned or tried to negotiate into their sites.

Human

Camped here several times. Some of the sites are more open than we prefer, but there are also more private sites. Will probably camp here again.
