Circle Tour Stopover

Had to detour to this park during our circle tour of Lake Superior because other parks we filled. But, glad we did as this is a beautiful campground, not to mention the great hiking trails and lakes. A bit tight for our groups’ class A’s (Tiffin Allegro Breeze, RED, Bus), but we all fit in. Spent two nights here.

Beautiful state park

Bathrooms were very clean, park staff was extremely nice. Highly recommend and will go back again.

Most of the camp sites are in open view of and very close to the road way, so very little privacy in your own camp site. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Beautiful tall trees on the camp ground and lots of cute little foot paths between loops and sites. Drinking water was drinkable but far from clear and had a very earthy taste. Park itself is gorgeous and made for a great get away.
