Beautiful Campground
We stayed at a group site that add great amenities including a pavillion with built-in picnic tables and large charcoal grill. Large Bonnie pit and private dock. Very clean site in a picture perfect location. The individual site and amenities look very nice also. Great place to stay to access bwcaw.

Outdoor Enthusiast
Excellent camp sight! Very clean and well kept. Camp hosts are knowledgeable and friendly. Located at one of many entry points of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA). You can stay at the campground and take day trips into the BWCA.

Great US Forest Service CG
Mostly well spaced level sites(for camper) but many sites are 2 level with steps up or down to the picnic table/fire ring. 1 level sites are marked handicap accessible. This does not mean you need a handicap sticker to reserve/rent.

Superior Maintained Sites
If your coming here, reserve at recreation.gov website. We are here every Sept. Fall colors are best about 1st weeks of October. There are campground hosts in amongst the campers. Firewood has been high quality available from the hosts. Real hardwoods, so they burn longer than typical birch. If you're looping Lake Superior, next best stop should be Porcupine Mountains in upper Michigan.

Love This Campground
Great campground, been coming here every year for about 8 years. Tar roads, some pull through and some back-in spots, a few for only tents, 2 group camps also. Mostly level sites. Very clean showers, canoes to rent, 1 hiking trail about 4 miles long. Fun to bike ride all around the large campground on the tar. Swimming beach and playground. Pet clean-up stations. Quiet place. Nearby hikes and bike/hike tar trail in town of Ely. Ely also has Wolf and Bear centers to explore. Under-ground mine tour 20 miles away in Soudan is very good too.
