Right in the heart of Detroit lakes. If solitude is for you, this park is not for you. The transient spaces are small but we'll kept, some with new gravel and concrete pads. The shower and bathroom facilities are excellent. The train goes right past the park frequently day and night and we were there although unbeknownst to us during the county fair, and the fairgrounds are right on the other side of the railroad tracks. The demolition Derby and stock car races were practically in our back yard. The location is excellent though and the park is clean and the American legion post is about a 2 minute walk and the food I'd great there. The lake was a quick five minute walk and several restaurants within walking distance. The campground office has some supplies if you need something quick and easy.

This place is in a great spot in the heart of Detroit Lake resort community. While you are in a campground, it is more like a mobile home park- many campers and tiny homes are permanent. The showers were the cleanest I’ve ever seen camping. Kudos to the crew here. Not very quiet though. You will hear the train twice a night and of course other rowdy campers. The American Legion bar is just steps away from campground. You can walk to most of the lakefront restaurants and the beach is right across the street. There is a camp store that offers basics for camping. Close to toll trail and other attractions. We were in a tent - tent sites are located around a lot of RVs - water and electric included.
