Very nice clean campground. Well-maintained with 14 miles of trails. You could stay by the lake or in the upper campground that is more open but yet wooded as well. The staff is very friendly beautiful lake will definitely stay there again.

Very Nice Park
We stayed one night and it was a great park. We stayed in the upper campground. Our site was gravel, easy to get into and fairly level. Price was $35.00 with a $7.00 online fee and $7.00 daily usage fee. We had electric only.

Very nice park, one of my favorites! I stayed at the lower campgrounds all the time I have stayed there because I had brought my boat, this park is so accommodating especially if you have a boat, the park has post’s in the ground for tying off your boat! The camping site’s are close together on the lower campgrounds and spaced apart on the upper campgrounds! The trails are nice open with very little shade so bring some water!

Very nice park and view of the lake from each site. Went there in September. Nice trails. Close to Alexandria for any of your needs. Would definitely go back

Nice Park
Nice & busy, beautiful lake view & nice walking path. $30 night with electricity only, can not hook hose up for h2o but bath house is close. There is a $7 online fee when reserving plus $7 park pass. So $44 a night for electric only. Oh ya $6 for wood.

Beautiful And Well Kept!
Pulled in on a Thursday and had no problem getting a choice of three sites with electric for just the night. The lower campground is not as private as the upper yes, but it's clean and well laid out. We chose the upper. A little buggy along the trail to the lake bu surprisingly we didn't get eaten alive at our site. Bathrooms are a little old, water in shower smells rusty but again clean. Our site has crushed gravel, pretty level with an adjacent green area with picnic table and fire pit. I'd def stay again. $39 includes state park pass and site with electricity

Busy Park
Make reservations for the weekends, it fills up fast. Grassy, flat sites with shade but are close together. The Forest campground is much more private than the Lakeview Campground. Many hiking trails are sunny but others are in a variety of habitats. The Central Lakes Bike Trail in nearby Alexandria goes on forever. Great nature center with programs along with clean lakes.

Nice Clean Park
Paved roads in campsite are nice, along with the swim beach which is sandy and very shallow for a long ways out. Sites are roomy. Not much for bike trails however.
