It's Open Now
We saw reports of the closure elsewhere online, but since we were staying nearby at another campground we drove through and found they are open, there were people camping.

Closed
This was one of our favorite rustic campgrounds in the UP, but it has been closed indefinitely since August 2020 when it was destroyed during high winds.
