Good Destination
We stayed in the beach lot. Feels like a glorified parking lot with electric hookups (center aisle has full hookups). Nothing special to look at but short walk to beach is wonderful. Beach is really wide. Restrooms clean and newish. No firepits so bring with you. Fabulous sunsets. Not 5 star just because it looks like a parking lot.

We've stayed here twice and love the beach and sand dunes.

Impressive
Very clean well-maintained park, nice showers, on the water, delightful town. Can get crowded at times, but never what I would call congested. Definitely worth a visit.

Busy Park
We camped over Memorial Day weekend & it was packed. Most of the sites are very close together with little to no foliage separation. Some sites are extremely unlevel & sandy. Despite the crowdedness, this park is in an amazing location. It has a really nice walking path through the middle of the campground. It is right off Ottawa Beach Rd, which is also quite busy on the weekends & traffic can back up from the beach to well past the entrance to the campground, so if you are coming back from downtown Holland, you could definitely get caught in traffic. The campground is right across from a small beach on Lake Macatawa which is on the other side of Ottawa Beach Rd which also offers watercraft rentals. You could also walk down to Ottawa Beach which is on Lake Michigan. Dune Dogz & Ottawa Beach General Store are also within walking distance & I highly recommend them for snacks and ice cream. The Pines Loop campground has a beautiful new bathhouse.

We Loved The Beach Campground
We were looking for a beach campground and they didn’t disappoint. We looked at Grand Haven and it looked to congested. When we found this place we were concerned with the fact the whole beach campground was asphalt but the lot sizes are big enough for our RV, a picnic table, and truck. The staff was more than helpful. The shower house was clean and right in the middle of the grounds. There is two different campgrounds so make sure you get the beach if that what you’re looking for. Very dog friendly. We look forward to going back.

There are two campground area's. One has average size lots with trees. The second campground area is like a huge parking lot no trees & all pavement but closer to a large beach. Some nice trails to walk through.
No alcoholic is allowed.
Good location to go into town.

Nice State Park
Nice area. 2 campgrounds, one across from the lake and the other located by the beach.
Lake campground is electric only, with 2 bathhouses. Fire rings nice. 2 small playgrounds. We stayed in this campground. Some sites more shaded than others. Can hear some traffic and boats on the lake, otherwise very nice.
Beach campground is where their full hookup sites are, only a few. Not much shade in those. The campground is right next to the beach parking lot, can get very busy.
Enjoyed our stay, many things to do near by.

Busy park, lots to do though. Clean, has curfews that are well enforced.
