Convenient To Small Towns

Easy driving distance from all small towns, and closest one, Bellaire was wonderful. We had huge space in back, but many of the others are small. Even though we were 100’ from the internet antenna it only worked for about 30 minutes out of the three days there. Management said they would “turn on” but didn’t happen. Verizon signal not strong. Showers poor on men’s side.

Had a reservation for 3 nights and told them I was a passport America. They said no problem and booked it. When I got there, they wouldn’t honor it. The woman I dealt with was the owner and wasn’t very friendly. She didn’t try to accommodate us. Needless to say we won’t be back. 1 star is too high.

Cute Campground

There are some cool things to say about this campground but I also have criticism. First off the road is a little loud sometimes. And it’s needs to be updated. But on the plus side it’s affordable! It has a nice pool and showers for families . We had full hookup ! They have a small store and torch lake is 20 minutes away! A lot of people stayed in tents and just brought their boat! Some permanent campers seemed to love it. The best part was they have free ice cream for the kids on fridays at 8pm. And Saturday popcorn free. And a free hay ride for the kids! They also put a big fire in the middle of the campground for everyone to share and chat. Overall if they updated it I would give it 5stars because of locations and decent amenities and friendliest people there.

Won't Be Back

If you stay at the far back of the campground I hope you like ducks. They are loud in the morning. The staff single wide has them fenced in with privacy fence. Then they play their music which is not my taste a little bit loud. Glad we were gone all day and just came back for dinner and sleep

Comfortable Stay

Stayed a week and got one nite free. Location was great to explore the many towns and lakes. Watch for electrical issues (was often less than 120v), often breaker trips and lost power once, as did neighbors). Sites are basically dirt and you are right next door to neighbors on 3 sides. WiFi terrible. Pool is tiny (says max 35 but that would be side by side). Road noise is rowdy all day but calms down at nite. This is an old KOA but is showing its age.

Ok Campground, Good Location

The location was what attracted us to stay here. The sites are very very very small and mostly dirt. You are pretty much awning to camper for most sites. Carefull they will charge if you damage tree and are very strict on rules. 5mph is enforced heavy ( which is good and keeps everyone safe). Facilities are average. Electric and sewer great, water pressure all over the place. Had a hard time using two sinks at once.
