Great For Boston Area
Loved staying here. Stayed 3 night on our way to Maine. Great home base. Drove to Cape Cod for day and took train fron hingham into Boston for a day. Would love to have had an extra day to explore park and immediate area.

$$$$
If you are from out of state the price to camp is outrageous. They said it was due to COVID-19 to reduce the amount of people from out of state but they never reduce the price.

Nice quiet campground close to Boston. We ended up driving to Boston, about an hour, but you could take the train or commuter boat.

Nice Amenities
Overall, this is a very nice state park. We stayed in the electric loop, and for $33 for out of state, thought that was reasonably priced. There are plenty of hiking and mountain biking trails adjacent to the camp sites, so there is plenty to do locally. The staff is very friendly and very helpful!! The campsites themselves are fairly level, but most could use a little work and general cleanup. Most of the sites are very private and heavily wooded. The bathroom and shower facilities are great, but we found them to not be very well maintained during our stay. With cleaner bathrooms and sites, we would have given them 5 stars. We would definitely go back.

Great Campground to Explore SE Massachus
We stayed at Wompatuck State Park for five days or so while we explored Boston, Lexington, Plymouth and the surrounding area in the fall of 2018. It's a great campground. We had a 30A basic electrical site and it worked fine for our 1991 34' Airstream trailer. To go to Boston, we drove the short drive to Hingham, MA (inexpensive public parking) and took the passenger ferry directly to Long Warf, right in the heart of downtown Boston.
