Waterfront Campground

I camped here for one night in June. I paid for the waterfront camp number 5 between Honeymoon cabin and the boat barn. $10 extra for dog, Total of over $90, pricey for one night. WiFi is only at bar/restaurant. Caesar salads chicken was very good, draft beer at bar $3.50; porch Adirondack chairs very comfy, shower room needs help, not sure that they have more than a few camp sites.

The Birches Resort, Rockwood Maine

We’ve camped in every state, and found our favorite experience at The Birches! Our site was wooded, private and beautiful on Moosehead Lake. We swam and kayaked right from our site. The sunrises over Mt Kineo were spectacular! The lodge was a short wooded walk away where we’d go for socialization on the porch, a great meal or to just sit by the fireplace. The highlight was a float plane ride—endless forests, rivers, lakes and mountains—and moose! We’ll be back!!!
