Disappointed 2nd Time Around
We stayed here 3 years ago, same time of year, mid-Sep. Our first experience was good. Our second stay was a disappointment. The manager was brusque & impatient & not accommodating. Perhaps the end of season malaise hit her. I don’t know & don’t care. I live in a tourist town , dependent on that business so I understand the repetitive frustration of hospitality. That said, we all spend hard-earned money to travel and asking questions, directions, referrals is part of the business. The campground personnel seemed put-upon and it’s a shame. Next stay, Cobscook Bay State Park. It’s less expensive, more dramatic, & state rangers are more accommodating.

Old Sow Tidal Whirlpool
Great campground. Lots of seasonal campers but quiet and nice. You can tour the area on a bus there or take a boat out to see the second largest known tidal whirlpool in the world. They have a restaurant that looks pretty good too with home cooking. Had a good level site with full hookups.
