Needs A LOT of Work!!!!
Gave it 1 star because it had great WiFi. It’s all downhill from there my friends. It’s clear the emphasis here is tubing and kayaking NOT camping comfort or aesthetics. Roads and site are sand and dirt, still pitted and muddy from the rainfall. Bugs were horrible! Sites are very close, if you and your neighbor have slide on the driver side … good luck there would be very little room to fully extend them. Office and store ( if you can call it that) we’re in a rundown old building. We had booked two nights … stayed 1 night and left never to return. This was our 3rd campground while crossing Maine. None of them were particularly impressive. Maybe my expectations are too high but clean and level would have been nice too have.

Nothing impressive. Was ok for the night. Did not look at their bathrooms, but the rest of the buildings and campground look pretty rough. Would not stay here again.

Needs Some Work
it has easy access from the highway. A short bike trail is right next to the campground. They have river access for kayaks canoes and tubes. But the campsites are not very good. They are too close together, the sewer is not very accessible. The bathrooms are very tiny and not very clean. it needs some work.

Nice campground in Bethel
We have been staying in this campground for a few weeks (as workcampers), and will be for next three months. The 25 RV sites are a mix of open/partial/full shade, on gravel or grass, most pull-thru with long-term sites back-in. All have water & electric (20/30A or 50A), and most have sewer. Multiple dump stations available. Roads within area are gravel, and accessible for big rigs. The 12 tent sites are in separate forested area. All sites have campfire ring & picnic table. There is also a group site for large gatherings. There is a bathhouse with two showers on each side. It is being refurbished this year with new flooring, paint & lighting. Staff keeps the bathrooms very clean. Owners are very friendly and try to accommodate guest requests. Campground is part of a facility that also features river trip outfitter and gem sluice. Easy to arrange for canoes/kayaks/tubes to float down Androscoggin River, and then just walk back to your campsite.

Poor Facilities
Upon our late arrival, we were told there are 2 showers located within the restroom area. Returning from dinner after dark we noticed there was no light @ either the men's or women's restrooms. When going to take a shower the next morning, what I found was 1 locking door for an area w/3 extremely small/tight stalls. 1 was clearly meant to be a changing room, which means you would have to walk to the shower stall undressed, leaving your clothes & belonging on a long & filthy bench in the open area BELOW A LARGE WINDOW that came down to my shoulders!!! The cherry on top was the filthy shower liners w/black mold along the bottom & coming up the sides! We couldn't get out of there fast enough!!!????????????
