Pros And Cons
We really enjoyed our 4 night stay here. There has been a fairly constant stream of barges and boats in the waterway to entertain us. The campgroun is on the Creole Nature Trail (drive) which we really enjoyed through the added value free app available for smartphones. The location was also a good proximity to Lake Charles so we were able to take in some Mardi Gras activities. Another plus is the boat ramp and park next door. The downside is that there is a rather noisey drawbridge by the park and the traffic is pretty constant from 6am to 10pm. We would have give a 5+ star if not for the noise from the bridge and one of the buildings in the park. .

Really enjoyed watching the barges go by. Had to set up the RV sideways to take advantage of The View. I'm handicapped and restrooms were set up for handicaps. Nice covered Pavilions, at a reasonable price. A little noisy but some places are like that. Our site had only a 20 amp breaker.

Nice Park
Most sites are waterfront. Boat ramp. Watching the barge traffic is nice. Must make reservations online, the hosts on site cannot book you in.

Great place to camp. I loved the blue crabs I caught. Can't wait to go back.

Great value
Not the quietest with the bridge noise plus it's essentially a parking lot. But...the price is great, sites are large and fairly flat, good cell phone service, lots of tv channels, and good power and water. It is fascinating watching the barges travel right beside your rv.
