Full Timer
38ft class A. Easy off and on I 10. GPS is off so don’t miss your turn into park. If you do there’s a boat launch several miles down the road to turn around at. Nice quiet old park. Most sites are small. Big rigs stick to 22, 24, 26, 28 and you should be fine. Full hookups and everything worked. Picnic table and fire pit. Very dark at night. Like a big park, trees and grass. Cell and satellite on site 24.

Nice And Quiet
We stayed here for 3 nights with our fur babies and have already booked again. New owners, as now it is called Cajun Heritage. Super friendly staff! The Pavillion had a band on Saturday, BYOB and lawn chairs! Pool is like one in the backyard and well kept. Owner's came around checking on us and chatted a bit. Has 30 and 50 amp hookup with sewage and water at each site and plenty of space for our dog fence! Grounds are manicured like a golf course and there is a grocery just down the way if the office doesn't have what you need.

Gave Change The Next Morning
Called late around 11pm, very nice on the phone. We only had 2 $20 bills, so we put it in the envelope and down the slot. In the morning the lady at the office had our $7 change ready for us. Great spot and very quiet!

Pleasant For An Overnight
Convenient to the highway, good roads. Office closes at 5, cash only after that. Slot was small for staying hitched, couldn't reach the sewer. WiFi was abysmal (good distribution of poor bandwidth). Oddly, not a single mosquito (wrong season?). Quiet, except for some celebrating townie yahoos parading down the levee with speaker trucks for 20 minutes. No convenient restaurants; convenience store nearby. I would come back if I had to overnight along this stretch again.

Very Nice!
I actually loved this campground. Beautiful, grassy, lots of trees and lots of room between sites (tons!). A few full timers, but it was so clean and quiet. Only thing I would improve would be to update their laundry room, maybe add some W & D’s too, and take a little bit of their acreage and put a fenced in dog run, so our dogs could run off leash and get their ya ya’s out. We only stayed overnight, so their could be issues we didn’t see, but Frenchmans wilderness is a lovely and reasonably priced rv Park.

Serviceable
First the good:
- Easy on/off to I-10
- Friendly staff
- Very clean and quiet
Not so good:
- Biggest mosquitos I've ever seen and plenty of them
- While they have 50 amp outlets you can't exceed 30 amps or you can trip a breaker
- WiFi only supports most basic internet needs

One of the few places that we have ever been to that they show you to your site & help you w/steering you in.
They also pick up & dispose of your crawfish boiling water or fish frying oils for you.
Very clean grounds!

Frenchmans
Nice place, lots of shade. Swimming pool. Charge extra for cement pad in front of camper which I don't agree with. Very strict on rules, everything starts on time.
