Wonderful Break From The World
We are full timers and have been here twice. 2024 for a couple weeks and Fall/winter 25-26. It’s quiet, safe and friendly. Definitely well kept. It’s off the beaten path and you’re in a Valley with the Kentucky River rolling by. Because of the location, internet is spotty. Occasionally there are potlucks where you meet other campers and more staff than you realize are there. The best is spring when they start with musicians who come in Saturdays, to entertain and the different food trucks. Music is free.
I’ve seen lots of kids there who find ways to entertain themselves. Lots of hiking areas, kayaking and just sitting along the river, decompressing. Definitely worth the drive.

Great RV Park
Under new ownership and they have done a great job keeping up the park. Quiet and serene on the Kentucky River.

Great Getaway
This is definitely a place to unplug. No cell reception and no cable (that we saw). But that’s ok. We needed a getaway. It’s close to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. We visited The Ark and Creation Museum, which was a couple hours away, but a nice day trip. Also saw a ballgame, the YALLS, in Florence Ky. It’s a couple hour drive to Cincinnati, nice zoo and aquarium. We felt welcomed by the staff and they were very helpful. We saw all age groups, and yea there are some long timers staying there but they were all clean sites. Would definitely stay here again. Be careful on the road in, it’s 1 lane for about a mile.

Over Priced
Beautiful area, but not ready for summer fun for kids. I brought my grandsons for a couple days to fish, swim and play. We were disappointed in the site selection, it was barely long enough to fit my 30ft travel trailer, but not my truck and there was no warnings about the swimming pool being shut down. The staff was very friendly, but no camp store which was unusual for a so called “Resort Park”. We had to travel 20 minutes one way to a Wal-Mart to buy bait and supplies. We had to buy wood for our camp fire at the resort, and due to recent rain it was wet and difficult to burn. There were a plethora of permanent resident sites. I understand that it is under new management and again everyone I spoke with was very friendly, but I think they are a long way in meeting expectations as a premiere resort, especially for the price we paid. This place is absolutely beautiful and could be a fun destination if some money and hard work were to be put in it. However, as is, No way I’d return.

Not The Friendliest Place.
I can't say all the staff is unfriendly. The ones I dealt with might just be having a bad day. Still rude a d inhospitable is what it is. Stay away.

Don’t Bring Your Kids Here
We should have heeded the warnings of others.
Not a family friendly camp ground. Owners feel it’s appropriate to curse in front of a two year old and 8 month old baby while flipping them off when I, as a parent ask, them to control their language and not use profanities in front of my children.
Don’t be distracted by the pool and playground. These are clearly a warped way for the owners to give the illusion that they are kids friendly.

Great Location, Fantastic People
This campground is a great base camp to do the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. It's less than an hour drive to most of the distilleries, and two are just a few minutes away. Very peaceful, and the owners are delightful.
