Worst Trip Ever
Went online to find a site, showing 50 amp. Was rented a site requested 50 amp. When we got to the site it was only 30 amp and when I complained I was told 30 was the best they can do because they have no 50 amp.. then the electric was out for a big share of 3 days of my 5 day trip.. Not only was I lied to, I was corrected twice for campground violations of which I was never given a copy of upon my arrival.. stupid things at that.. Thank God for Jennifer, our host and Alex, the lady at the gate.. They tried their best to resolve the bad issues we had.. But if you put lipstick on a pig it’s still a pig.. If these two ladies were at a different campground I would have to go there, but I will never return to Zilpo. And yes, we left on our forth day.. I will be asking for at the least a partial refund..

Nice Campground
Electric in some sites, I called to reserve site just to ensure we picked an electric site. Many water spigots throughout campground, just bring about 200 feet of hose and you won’t have to break camp. We stayed in F15, slight incline into site, then it’s level at end of driveway. Lost power for a few hours twice in one day. Lucky for us it was not too hot in the evening. We would come back if traveling this way, stayed for 3 nights. Good price with senior card about $64 for 3 nights.

Not Bad
The sites are roomy with plenty of vegetation between. Plenty of shade and level. Picnic table, firepit and lantern poles. Lovely setting. Lot’s of fishing on the lake. The gravel beach was well maintained. The store had basic supplies and snacks. All staff were very friendly. We reserved site H11 because the maps online, as well as the one handed out at check in, show that it’s electric. It’s not. Bathhouses could use some attention. No soap in dispenser, door latches that don’t latch, some shower stalls without warm water. But reasonably clean.

Wonderful
This was our first time visiting Zilpo. The site we reserved we could not back into so we got discouraged. Went back to the entry gate and the wonderful staff there had just received a cancellation and told us to try that location. We were so grateful and the site was wonderful. We have already booked a site for this year. The weekend we were there a storm was headed our way. The wonderful couple that was hosting our loop came around and told everyone so we could protect our equipment and be safe. Great views, spacious, blacktop pads, gravel in areas that normally have dirt/grass and some sites have access to the water. We walked all sites and there is not one bad site on this property. Just some preference over another.

Privacy In Nature
They have everything you need! Yes there is water spigots in each loop to fill up water tanks. Inner loop sites have electric. All have beautiful trees & natural surroundings without your neighbor being on top of you. Beautiful Lake!

Nice Retreat
Beautiful campsite. This park has spots for large RVs. Limited full hookup sites but generator friendly. You can see all the stars at night and the staff is awesome. Park is very clean. Bring an axe to gather firewood. It gets very dark at night so lanterns would be helpful.
