We were attempting to get to Lexington but bad weather rolled in so we needed to find an overnight stop in Louisville. Unique experience. We were the only RV in acres of an empty parking lot. There was a 50 amp hook up and the personnel both on the phone and on site were helpful. Washrooms were clean. We are 41’ long pulling a car. Easy access to highway. Expensive but worked out ok.

2021 Kentucky Derby

Over priced but perfect location for a fantastic Derby weekend. Due to pandemic limited number of RVs at the Expo Center. Shuttle to Churchill included with Oaks and Derby tickets. Full hooks were available. Security and grounds keepers were very accommodating. Note the airport is next door.

I Give It To Zero Stars If I Could

As expected, this is just a parking lot at the State Fairgrounds. When we booked the reservation, they said there was no events going on and that we'd probably be one of the few on the lot. Even our confirmation email confirmed that there were no events scheduled for the weekend we were going to be there. But lo and behold when we got there one of the biggest events of the Year apparently was going on. And everybody was surprised when we mentioned it to them that our confirmation said no event because this is an annual event that happens this time of year there. If you're planning to go to an event there at the fairgrounds, then this probably is the place for you to stay. But if you're going to do anything else then I wouldn't stay there on a bet! $50 a night is way too expensive for what you get, also be aware, this is at the end of the runway for the airport. When we pulled in there were jets taking off every 30 seconds, and then later in the day they went to about three minutes.

Massive Complex

This is a huge exposition complex with RV facilities, generally for participants in the events or visitors to the amusement park. It's in the flight path of the airport. Very pricey for a large parking lot with power, water, & sewer. Clean bathrooms.
