Went out if our way. The amenities on the web sounded fantastic. Great for boaters, not campers looking for the camp ground. Turn a 16' trailer at camp was 5 turn, mountain straight down to river. RV stay down below and walk hill. We didn't stay, but pit toilets and grounds were kept. Obviously a boater camp. Too bad my camper wasn't a river craft.

Arrived here to find none of the amenities, described, on the offering segment. Very primitive! Rough road, very difficult to turn around. May be good for hikers but not TV's! Would rate less than 1 star if I could.

Beautiful and quiet In Winter

Stayed for a few nights in December and loved it, had it mostly to myself except for one night that some thru hikers took another site. Most sites have a small parking space, and the tent pad/table/food box are on a platform accessed by stairs. Bear proof trash cans and restrooms.

Remote

Few campsite run along sheltowee trace trail. Good for a few nights. Leave no trace area. Fee campsite pay by envelope. Yahoo falls close by. Other waterfalls as well. Research online Daniel Boone National Forest Alum Campground for more information in Big South Fork Area.
