Huge Park

This is a very large park with over 500 campsites, but you would never know it due to the park size. It is split into east and west, so make sure you know which side you are staying on as the signage is terrible. It would be nice if they had the campsite numbers on their signage so you know which way to go. The reservoir is beautiful. The park is very quiet. Campsites are mostly flat gravel with fire pits and picnic tables, electric and water only. There are several dump stations. You are just 20 or so miles from Wichita.

Great Place On West Side Of Lake

Looks like there is also camping on East side as well. We have a 5er so don’t need all the amenities. Grabbed a 50a spot on the south loop. North loop was liked a bit better but I couldn’t find my 30-50 adapter. Sites are wide and grassy so you can pull through and have camper parallel with the road. The loop roads are decently paved. Some of the main roads have big potholes. Checked out one of the restroom/shower rooms and it was clean and decent enough. Some of the best spots along the water are smaller back in gravel with no power or water. Love this campground and would return often if I were closer.

Just Right

West Campgrounds, North Loop, campsite was well cared for and groomed by park host. Enjoyed the park and atmosphere. Nearby sailing club facility has nice, shaded swim area. Will surely be back.

Lots Of Space, Big Lake

This is a beautiful state park. The sights are super large. The grounds are well groomed. Not real great signage to get to park when coming from west on 400.
