OK For Stop

Wanted 2-day stop to visit Old Thresher Museum. Long, gravel pull through, with grass in between. Easy on and off hiway, low/no noise with window closed. BUT, train noise day and night due to horns. Many full time/workers leave at 6 AM with truck noise. Wifi OK, cell phone. Free cable, but only 50 % channels listed available, no local network channels. Bath and showers clean. Paid $38.50 per day after Good Sam's discount - over priced in my opinion.

Go Quick In And Out Park

Right off the hwy. Flat cement slabs with grass between each site. Everything as promised by description. The lady I talked to at reservation time was super nice. Office hours are scant so if you need something from the office you are limited. But Walmart and other stores are nearby. Very convenient park. Great for quick stops, one nighters, in and out sort of park. Not a resort by any stretch. Not a lot for kids to do, but that wasn't promised so there you go.

Stayed here many times, some overnight and some over the weekend. Always easy to get in and setup. The office is very accommodating to late arrivals, find your map, where they tell you it will be, and follow the route they draw on it! Every site we’ve used is spacious and clean. Shower rooms (private by the way!) are clean and convenient with lots of space. Near the highway for easy travel or sightseeing. You can travel north, east, south or west right from the corner! And there are many food options just up the road, and Hy-Vee grocery/gas is within sight! We highly recommend!

Super Overnight

We stopped here last night after leaving the Winnebago Service Center in Forest City heading south. It was conveniently located right off the highway exit and not a lot of road noise. Everything was pristine, 50 amp, Water and Sewer. Other than some large shade trees it was perfect for us. Even a grassy area to air our labs. With the Good Sams discount we paid $33.70.

Almost Perfect

The only thing that would make it perfect would be a few mature trees.

Big rig friendly, pull throughs, clean bathrooms. Good stopover. Owners are not always there, think they have another job. We had called ahead and site number was on door.
