Two Campgrounds

Plains Campground and Flying Squirrel. $20 for electric and $15 for tents. Sites at Plains are on well-groomed grass. Sites at FS are pull through, on level crushed limestone. Both offer large sites. I could only find showers in B section of FS. FS offers river views. No reservations allowed. Very clean and lots of open sites as of 5pm on a Sunday. Beautiful and quiet.

Wonderful Peaceful Lots To do!!

Perfect place for families, couples and retirees!! Awesone fishing, canoe rentals, trails and area is well groomed with clean showers and restrooms. Utility hookups for all levels and larger campers/coaches. Love it!! Just a beautiful park and camp ground. Don't forget to visit the Stove House Restsurant for breakfast buffet on Sundays! Grocery and Dollar Store and Bait near by.

Camp On The Wapsie River

Flying Squirrel Campground - nice specious campsites with lots of trees. Love the sites along the river. Pet friendly. Nice playground for the kids. Great walking & bike trails and a bridge that will connect you to the big county park. We like to camp here once or twice over the summer. There's a grocery in town close by if you forget something too.
