No longer open year round. Open April 1 through October 31. Nice quiet place, roomy, sites clean showers. Overall great experience.

Reviews were helpful in selecting this campground. All good. Shower rooms were huge, clean and private. Management was helpful and regular guests provided help to us who were brand new to the rv world. Highly recommended

Clean And Quiet

This little campground has well kept sites. Spacious clean shower rooms. I'm not talking a large room broken down into stalls, no. This is a building with spacious rooms that have a toilet sink and shower. There is also a small space heater and a chair. A very nice change of pace! Full hook up at each site, cute pavilion, and nice little playground. We will definitely be back!

Unexpectedly Nice

It was a nice quiet campground easy to find so long as you don't use the address to find it. Everything was great except the sewer was very slow to drain, though it might have been my specific site. Very kid friendly and clean.

Simple And Peaceful

Stopped here on the way back to Ohio to explore the former Chanute AFB. The campground is simple and casual; it is peaceful, it is quiet, and it is friendly. It has a playground, a large pavilion, restrooms, showers, and a laundry room ($1.25 washer & $1.00 dryer). WIFI is limited to the shower/laundry building area, but actually works (28.31 Mbps while we were there - best of ANY park/campground we've been to so far). You can get ice at the office. The campground manager lives on site next to the office. There is no trash pickup, but the dumpster is across from the office. There is no cable hookup, but we picked up about 28 channels over the air. It was too nice to watch TV anyway. We sat out after dark and listened to the birds and crickets while we watched the runway lights. Unfortunately no aircraft traffic on the base runway which is now a quiet general aviation airport. We have every intention of going back when we can stay longer than overnight. We loved the place!!
