Great Campground Traveling
Great pool . Great mini golf ⛳️. Great Dog Park's . Very clean. Why 3 stars, not 5 noisy interstate. Rock sites. Sites are very close to together. Overpriced and over hyped.

Outstanding campground. Lots of space to drive in and the campsites where spacious. Lots of amenities for the kids to burn off some energy after being on the road all day. One of the best campgrounds We have stayed at in a long time.

Wonderful Campground
Friendly staff/owners. Sites: level, gravel, green grass. They cut it at 4 in. to keep it green. Our site was very long and shaded. This is a great place for larger fifth wheels and motor homes. Most sites are pull through. Amminities: small, but clean laundry. Nice pool. Walking path. Storm shelter. Small miniature golf. Nearby: Lincoln’s tomb. Lincoln House. Lincoln’s Museum (a must see) and Presidential Library. New Salem Town. Dana Thomas house.

Stop Over
Absolutely perfect. Pull through site, right next to the dog park and showers. Couldn't ask for anything better. Owners were fantastic, had to come in office to sign in, but very covid-19 compliant. Clean and friendly.

Nice Stopover
Stop on our way home from AZ during this stupid Covid Hysteria. Easy check-in, no contact. Quiet, easy pull thru sites, gravel sites but level. Nice walking trail, didn't use any of the amenities but they looked very nice. Will definitely make this one of our layover spots.

Awesome!
Was traveling through to get back to home state during COV pandemic and was happy to get in for the night, because of the current situation amenities were closed, however, I stayed for the night and when I woke up refreshed, I couldn’t help but think of this place as a diamond in the rough, beautifully laid out, if not for current crisis, I would’ve stayed a few days. Thank you Double J for letting me stay and rest up!

Well this one is a 5 star. We stayed two nights in a 40 foot fifth wheel with lots of extra room. Well maintained from top to bottom and it's just like they say. Really would stay again if in the area. A little pricey for traveling and after buying fuel for the day. Maybe that's why they had empty spots because it really is top notch. Nice Park Double J.

All Round Great Campground
Spacious and level sites. Trees well trimmed and out of the way of roof tops. Lots of activities if you have young ones. Clean restrooms at front and back of camp. Professionally run. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the highway noise.

Unbelievably accommodating! We came in for a funeral and when I called they had nothing available but took my name and called the next day to get us in. The park was clean the sites were laid out better than any we have stayed at before with great shade and great distance between neighbors. Check in was easy and informative about all the amenities and We were escorted to our site and asked did we need help with anything when leaving and a safe travel good bye. This truly is a hidden gem. Thank you double J for making a difficult weekend tolerable.

Great!
What's not to like. Plenty of room between sites. Very level, I do not have levelers and I never had to do anything but pull in. Super clean! The word is out, lot of campers. Make reservations! Walkers will love this, a 3/4 mile trail. One of the best I have been to. Cracker Barrel 6 miles away. Bathrooms super clean.

Great Place!
We stayed here for three nights to take in the Lincoln sites. Very clean, level easy pull through sites. Nice staff. Lots of things to do pool, mini golf, ping pong, horse shoes, etc. at the campground. Sites are shaded but trees are maintained so big units fit easily. Relaxing atmosphere. One of the nicest we have stayed at. Would definitely go back!

Great Little Stop
This is a gem. Large lots, big pool, very clean. Didn't use common areas. Firm packed roads and sites. Level sites. Need to adjust for weird on site dump connection...but it's not too bad. Only "neg" comment or "pos" future adjustment might be to enclose the dog area to allow free run. Will stop here again.

Our Best Yet!
We stayed here while visiting the Route 66 Festival in Downtown Springfield, and we absolutely love this place! The park was clean, the bathhouse was immaculate, the pool was a welcome respite (since it was 95 today), and the staff are sure me of the nicest people we've met yet. We will absolutely come back. Maybe next time we'll come just for the park!

Life Long Camper Rate This 4 Stars
A place too stay,,you need to "decide" During the storm in Fla & Ga, we were heading south from a stop over visit relatives up north. We decided to check out this campground. We drove 2 1/2 hrs south so we could see & talk with the owner. Well we finally arrived, it was very well worth the drive. As everyone has indicated outstanding campground, we talked to the owner Cindy, she had 3 Sites available for that time next week. We said great an our goodbye an left. We arrived, around 10:30 am. The following week . We go in the office and the first thing is we will charge you $40. for being early, as the lady behind the desk said. I will not bore you with what was said, ask to see the owner, that wasn't good either, anyway. I left. Point to all of this was the owner didn't tell us about the early arrival and the fees. I do not like people that tell me one thing and say another. 4 stars for the campground

A Great Place To Stay
I found the Double J on a Park Advisor App. We were just passing through and the reviews I read were positive. I contacted the Double J and spoke with Cindy. We were going to arrive a few minutes after the front office closed. Cindy said she would wait for us. She and her husband Chuck were extremely accomodating. Chuck greeted us in his golf cart and we followed him to our site. Immaculate, well taken care of, clean, and friendly is how I would describe the Double J. The shower and restroom area was better than most hotels I have stayed at. They were clean and new. The site we stayed at was well shaded. The sites were level and the gravel roads were well maintained. Kudos to Chuck and Cindy for their friendliness and extremely well kept campground. We will definitely return for another stay

Great First Campground
This was the first campground my family and I stopped at with our new travel trailer. The staff is awesome and very eager to help if you need it. There is miniature golf, a nice pool, kids playground, volleyball, large life size checker set, and a game area. The bathrooms and showers are hotel quality and the park was all maintained. It is right off route 66 and I recommend it to anyone.

Very clean and a great place to stop. Bath House is amazing! Sites are a good size and very level. Customer Service A+! Open all year, so this was a perfect fit for a family of four with two dogs traveling Illinois during Spring Break! Will be a stop for us in our future travels through Illinois. Also a discount for Good Sam Card Holders.

Happy Accident
Place we were going to stay at was closed. So this was a very happy accident! Beautiful grounds, obviously well tended, bathrooms and showers, beautifully done, and maintained. Seriously considering a trip back with my grand kids, stay here and take them to all sites in Springfield, provided I can pry them away from all the fun things they have here at the park. $40 with Good Sam worth every penny.

Sites are level, many pull-thrus and entry/exit very easy. Interstate is close, but far enough to not be a noise problem. We've over nited for the last 4 yrs and will continue to do so. Staff are very friendly and accomodative!
