Just OK campground

Horrible campground near the horrible beach. Water was way too calm. Awful view of lake, trees, and volcanic cliffs. Way too quiet. First come, first served. Vault toilet was clean and well-stocked. Extremely spotty phone signal and even worse internet signal here (Verizon). (Strong signal just barely past Fall Creek on the way to Pine, though). Uncomfortable large wood picnic table and way too nice fire pit with grill and work table at each established site. Each site’s size and configuration is unique. We had a 28’ travel trailer at site #2. Would have easily fit in sites #1 & 4 also. Tight fit - if at all - in #3. There were trailers in some of the higher numbered sites, too, but a couple of them were smaller. Lots of people just camp right on the beach, even with small trailers, because it’s so bad here. Some nice hiking trails right across the road up Evans Creek Rd. Hardly saw any deer, and the birds singing in the morning was just too much to bear.
