Camping

Nice, quite rv park. I loved being next to the river. The hot springs were great. I would give it a higher rating except the restrooms and showers were without a doubt the nastiest that i have ever seen. There must have been a thousand blow flys inside and out. I walked in to take a shower and immediatley turned around and left.

Wonderful Hidden Gem

The grounds are clean and kept up nicely. Close to town but far enough out to where you can enjoy nature. We enjoyed the hot springs and camping right by the Salmon River. The scenery is beautiful. Just remember to bring bug spray as you will be camping near water. This is one of our new favorite spots.

Had a great time at Challis Hot Springs stayed one night. The camp hosts Leo was the best very helpful and always there if you needed him. Some of the camp sites are laid out at little weird. All in all it was nice, but a bit expensive.

Stay &Soak Awhile!!!

This hotspring has a 100 yr old history. Discovered by a pioneer in the 1880's, its continued in their family to the present day.The facility is a pair of cement formed pools ,one of which you can swim laps in.That one is kept at a respectable 105-115degrees,and the other is a tad bit warmer. All of thermal heat is mixed with the Salmon River water and purculates up through the layer of river rocks on the bottom of these concrete pools. It felt great on my feet!The neat part about it is that the owners are putting in upgrades,with campsites right next to the Salmon River. Don't forget your fishing licence! This rustic,out of the way ,one of a kind,100 yr old thermal hot springs is a must see,and feel.
