Really Nice Park

Really nice park. We stayed here as we wanted to go to Providence Canyon State Park and they don’t offer RV spots there. This park is about 10 minutes down the road from Providence. Even though they don’t tell you when you book the site online there is a 5 per vehicle parking charge in addition to the site rental (including the tow vehicle) but that same parking tag is good at Providence as well and is good for the length of your stay. If you fish this would be a really good park as well since they have a bait shop with live bait on site.

Next to sewage treatment

Like right next to it. It runs along the right hand side as you enter. The noise from the pump that runs almost constantly is annoying. When the wind blows "right" you smell sewage. Campsites and sewage treatment plants should not be next to each other. Avoid.

Peaceful

We stayed here for about 12 days at the end of August. It was so quiet and peaceful. There were a few people that stayed for just one or two nights. We came in after hours and registered in the morning. Great for big rigs as the pull throughs were huge! Lots of trees though too with beautiful Spanish moss. It was about a 30 minute drive to the nearest Walmart and about 45 minutes to Lowe's. We ended up needed to go to both during our stay. Also this park is near the GA/AL border so the cell phones picked up service from AL towers and changed the time to Central Time. Clean bathrooms too! We enjoyed it here.

Easy, clean, quiet camping near Providence Canyon. No one was there to register in PM or AM. Must be lax during off-season.
