The Way Camping Used To Be?
About as laid back as you get. When you call, you might just get a “hello”, and be told just come on, we got room for you. Very friendly maintenance man showed us to a pull-through spot which was quite level. Told us we could settle up at the office later - $30/night with Good Sam. This is a place to chill and relax - no wifi that we found. Cell reception was good enough to stream video using phone as mobile hot spot. The park is 80% long term residents but almost all were well maintained. Park is largely mowed open fields with gravel roads good for walking or biking. Tiny bathhouse (didn’t go in) and small but clean laundry. Some interstate noise but not obnoxious. Large pond with good fishing. Management should consider adding a playground for kids. As for the area, enjoyed a nice outdoor lunch at the Rookery downtown, visited the Ocmulgee Mounds historic site and the huge Aviation Museum at Warner Robins AFB - both were must-see attractions.

Stopped here in early December was very quiet we were only one in this section of the park. Our plans were to stay a week but after only one night the wife said it was time to go.

Laid Back And Peaceful
Second time I've been here. I come for work in Macon. Bathroom and shower leave a little to be desired, but they seem to always have room. Don't bother trying to make reservations.

Here now, very clean well kept campground. Very laid back. Got here about 8 P.M. called host and he said go ahead and park. Very nice lady came by and collected money. We will probably stay here on our way back from Key West.

Very peaceful, seems underutilized. Not fancy but thats ok ! FHU available; takes Passport America. ($16). Not far from I 75, follow their directions and watch for signs. Camping area is down the road to the left of the main building.

This is about the most peaceful and enjoyable place we have camped in our 2 months of full-time RV living. Every other camper was pleasant and John (the fellow who keeps things going) is very mellow. We arrived after dark (blew a tire!), but had no trouble hooking up. Great campground!
