Pros And Cons

Most of the sites are on the BEAUTIFUL Tallulah River. The campground itself is a bit overpriced. The road through the campground is unpaved and rough. The sites are super close! Our extended awning is only a couple feet from the back of our neighbor. Once they left it was lovely with views of the river and space to spread out. However, weekends are regularly booked so do not bank on the extra space unless coming during the week. The sites are mostly level but are SUPER soft. They are sparsely rocked with river sand that gets EVERYWHERE!!! The bathhouse was clean but basic. The playground had broken parts and left a lot to be desired. The dump stations are not convenient or easy to access. We stayed during November so the pool was closed and we did not check out the clubhouse. We would come back but will 100% stay in the A loop between sites 5-10. Less sand, on the river, full hookup and a touch more space. A47 is the best with a private deck and your front door opens to the river 😍

Hell At The Gorge

Camp here if you want your neighbors poop hose under your picnic table. I’ll never go back! I would give it zero stars if this were option.

At The gorge

What a place! Super friendly people and campsites right out of your fantasies. Running river in the background scenic views and close to other small towns and attractions. First set of bathrooms are great, second set needs work as it’s a converted shelter. All in all I will be coming back.

River Falls at The Gorge

Found it very good. Thought the bathhouse in B was very clean. They are close so imagine when it is real busy. Great place for checking out the falls and hiking. Also my satelite worked when the rain stopped. That sorprised me! my dish is anchored on top too.

Sardines

If you like camping like sardines, you'd love it...me I like a little bit of space between other campers! Dogs on a leash my butt!! There were as many dogs on leashes as there was running loose...in fact as we were walking to the crappy bathhouse in section B two dogs not on their leash tried to bite our dogs but we were able to avoid it. The only thing I like about it was the view of the river!

LOVED IT

Stayed here back in 2016 for about a week with my 2 kids, husband and 3 dogs. We pull about a 30 footer and stayed up on the hill. Management was wonderful, the fishing was fun (we aren't pros and the other campers were very laid back. The entire campground was clean and had tons of stuff to do without leaving. Might be another year but we will be back for a week or 2 stay again.
