Spent 5 nights, great views, park has seen better days. Sites need lots of repairs on pads, stairs and most wood items. This is not a park for Rvs over over 30’. Shower house in our section closed due to tree damage on women’s side, park manager failed to place temporary portapotties and some groups dug holes to put waste in. Staff very friendly and even sent someone down to clean a hazmat solid waste pile under a tree. Very disappointed in senior management from Margheritaville to ignore this campground. I would stay again but only in a tent, popup, and maybe an R-pod. No big rigs and do not book site without looking at them in person. Also if you have knee, hip or back issues avoid this campground. GOOD LUCK

Decent Spot
This campground is pretty basic. Nothing fancy, but for the price it’s fine. I highly recommend taking a look at the sites before choosing. Do not blind reserve. There are lots of trees, right spots, and many of the concrete pads have drop offs right outside where your camper doors open. Some are not ideal for certain campers. Some are very nice. We stayed at #58, and really liked it. The amenities are limited, but I love the large picnic pads and fire rings at each site, and live all the lake front views. The staff was not very friendly as others have stated but my interaction with them was limited. We will stay again, since it’s fairly cheap and close to home, but I would not travel far to stay here.

Not Horrible But Not Great
The area was beautiful, there were deer all around. The lake was nice. If you like views with limited access to the water you will be very happy, limited spots where water was accessible from site. This park caters to tent camping not very rv and camper friendly. Limited spots for the camped and very limited to larger sizes. Lots of shades and lots of trees so be careful how you pull in to allow room for slides. I agree with a earlier post there are lots of steps and down grades to picnic tables and fire rings and even more so to water, so elderly or knee issues beware. The ladies restroom was in need of upkeep only 1 shower simi worked and only 2 potties. Hubby said men's was fine no issues. The price was fair, had water and electricity but has on site dumping station. No sewer at camp site. We would possibly stay here again it is close.to family and an easy drive to.

LOVED THE VIEW! We stayed 2 nights. March 22-24, a lot of empty spots and we had no neighbors. Stayed in a pull through RV 40 ft lake front#55. You have to park and walk down the stairs to the fire pit/eating area a few yards away. I would recommend to check the site if traveling with elders. The fire pit had not been cleaned and big ants around it. Once cleaned and fire started, they didn’t hang around for very long. It is nature after all but need to do a better cleaning job before next visitor. No full hookups, only e/w but has dump station. Shower water was not hot at all. I was looking forward to a hot shower but had to make it a fast one, the water was barely warm. Security guy Mr Ted would drive around often and felt safe. Saw deer and raccoons. Playground is old and small, decided to go bike riding (lots of fun curves/hills) and walks with my 6 YO. Gave it 4 stars for the view and accommodating/friendly staff. They will let you check the sites before making a decision.

Overpriced
Paid $50 for a site. Very difficult to find a flat site. Bathrooms were in bad shape. Steps leading down to picnic table were dangerous. Trash receptacles were very far away. Staff gave wrong information. Town of Buford very nice

Bathrooms
A little more effort to upkeep bathrooms is needed. No locks, horrible toilet paper, shower heads broken.

Trial Run Close To Home
Just bought a travel trailer week before Thanksgiving and went for a trial run near home for the holiday. Didn’t explore much. Busy learning and tinkering with trailer. We were in site 62, on end of point with a straight back in. Best sites are on end of point if you are 30+ feet. Only 50amp and 15 amp on pedestal so make sure you have adapters. Bathrooms were clean but could use some maintenance. Stalls had receiving end missing so had to hold the door closed for a #2. Would take very little work to fix up. Will come back again.

Decent, Nice Spots On Lake
We stayed in spot 3 and it was a beautiful view of the lake and had plenty of room. It was stressful backing into the spot since the spots have weird angles, trees, posts, steep drop offs on the narrow pad to park on and you have branches rubbing and scratching your rv... but once you got parked it was worth it. We brought our golf cart and it was nice drving through the park on the roads with the large trees making it a canopy. Everyday my kids saw deer up close, about 3-4 sightings every day! We did wish they had a pool though and a store...

Home Field
This is my local camp site. Great lots build way back when it wasn't all about profits...needs a bit of a lift: lots of collapsing trims and stairs that actually add to my liking this place. Super lay out of sites around the lake. Good fishing and camping fires...not much to do around the surrounding suburbs. I highly recommend this for the local area

The place was full of ants. Woke up with ants in bed. Bathrooms were dirty. Had to throw out all open boxes of food.
