Nice Campground
Nice sites, lots of privacy between many of them. It is 30 amp, not 50 so you do need a adapter. We arrived on a Saturday and there were plenty of available sites. Both back in and pull thru. We would stay here again if we're passing through

Great Campground
This is a unique Florida state park because of it's cultural features. They recently improved the canoe launch on the Suwannee River and it is now an excellent place to launch. The Florida Trail that runs along the river provides superb views of the river and riverine environment. The campground has three loops. The campsites in each loop vary between being in open grassy areas and having dense vegetation between sites. Sites tend to be large and partially shaded. The first half of the Suwannee Loop's and Canebreak Loop's outer campsites, and Gopher Loop's outer campsites around the turn tend to have the most vegetation and privacy between campsites. The bathhouse was clean. Mosquitoes weren't a problem in early May. Quiet and peaceful at night.

Clean And Well Groomed
VERY nice state park. Sites are large with plenty of vegetation between sites for privacy. Big rig friendly. About a quarter of the sites are pull through. Clean restrooms with free hot showers, coin operated laundry. $1 to wash and $1 to dry. Bike rentals available or bring your own. Kayak and canoe launch. A few easy hiking trails. Very interesting museum about Stephen Foster ... highly recommend. Nice playground for the kids. A couple of fairly large fields for Frisbee or set up your badminton set. Sites are pretty level.

Beautiful & Clean park
This was a very quiet & clean site to camp our 44’ RV. Big site. Spot 25 had 30 amp electric. Very clean bathrooms. Note: The link for directions will take you to the OLD entrance. Enter at the ranger station. Enter from Spring Street (which turns in Roberts Dr) & Lillian Sanders Drive. I added photos.

Pleasant Stay, Highly Recommend!
My crew: husband, wife and 3-year-old son in a campervan. We stopped at this park on our way to and returning from South Florida, and we love it. Campsites: All are spacious. If you're in the spots at the beginning or end of a loop, you're kind of in the middle of the campground. There is not as much hedging around these sites, but still ample room between sites. If you're in the rest of the loop, there is hedging between sites for nice privacy. There is no outdoor lighting aside from the bathhouse, so it's very dark once the sun goes down. When we were here, it was very quiet at night. Bathhouse: nice for a state park, but nothing fancy. They are clean, and bonus points for having multiple full bathrooms for handicap or family use. Both bathhouses are in the middle of the campground. If you're in the very back of the loop it might be a bit of a walk, but very accessible for most. Other notes: -very nice playground in the center of the campground. -not far from interstate.

In Decline
Lost a star due to the fact that now it is just like any other State Park. Carillon doesn’t play anymore and they don’t seem to know who can fix it. Museum is closed due to virus same as office and all is run by “Reverse” America uncoordinated availability of sites; wanted a two night stay and had to settle for one with so many empty sites the next day one was released so they can squeeze another six dollar “reservation fee” but I had already reserved elsewhere by the time they released. Mosquitoes got me this time Host was blowing leaves on next door site while we were disconnecting in the middle of all the dust. As a courtesy they should wait until after checkout time but they are in a rush to get things done to have the afternoon off Overall my stay was ok just not great, next time will stop at Suwannee

Big sites
The other reviewers were right about the size of these sites! There are a variety of sizes, but most are quite large, including some huge pull through sites. They only had one bath house open during my stay (due to covid), but it was clean and spacious. There is a sink outside and a coin op washer and dryer. The bath house is unheated, but the shower stalls have heat lamps overhead. There is also a nice sized ADA bathroom on each side. (I added some photos below.) The camp hosts were very friendly and always zooming around the site to check on things. Most of the activities in the park were closed during my visit due to the pandemic, but the river gazebo was very nice and the park itself was lovely and quiet. I will definitely be returning!

Simply Beautiful
This has to be one of our top three RV parks in the county. Quiet, peaceful and large camp spots. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Bathrooms very nice too.

Beautiful Florida Park
This is among the 2 or three best Parks in Florida, great setting and full of history but to no fault of the rangers and volunteers this is in need of a makeover. Buildings need to be remodeled to bring the to the grandiosity they once had. The carillon plays at 10 minutes after the hour. Beautiful instrument but needs an specialist to make a full display of Mr Foster’s grand melodies. No mosquitos here! and everyone is awesome doing their job The bathrooms are kept clean and I am sure they do what they can with their limited budget. Someone with deep pockets should donate 10M to restore the entire park. Maybe the Governor will do something. Will keep coming back

Wonderful campground! Well maintained. Large, spacious sites. Enjoyed walking the grounds seeing the bell tower, museums and gazebo overlooking the Swanee River. Easy drive from interstate. Would stay again! 34’ TT

Great
Nice and spacious sites! Bathrooms will maintained and clean. Our site, the water leaked the whole two weeks we were there. They came and looked at but nothing was done. Hopefully it will be fixed by next year. Otherwise, a very nice park. We have already made plans to come back next year!

Went to a 60th birthday party here. Some people stayed in the cabins and we brought our rig. Even though we couldn't use the boat launch for canoeing because of the water level in the river. The campgrounds beautiful. Cabin spacious and sites well-kept with easy in-and-out. We will be coming back soon.

Best State Park
This is the best state parks I have been at. I camped from Ohio to Florida and stayed at many State campgrounds. The camping area was very roomy. Bathrooms and Showers very clean. The park was manicured, they even had a blower for the roads to keep the leaves off for those who walk or ride bikes. The park host Carol was very friendly and always checking to make sure we were happy. Park Rangers monitoring always felt very safe. Quiet and very friendly campers. We already made reservations to come back in April. Many functions throughout the year, many cultures related.

Part-time Camper
Very beautiful, peaceful park. RV sites are nicely spaced so you don't even see your neighbors in most sites. Level gravel with picnic table with fire pit and grill, water and electric. Showers super clean. Only stayed one night on the way elsewhere. Looks like nice trails, canoeing, fishing are available. Traveling in a 35 TSRL.
