Nice Park

+ quiet, very friendly staff. Nice trails. -. Only one dump station, get there early. No WiFi.

Christmas At Oscar Scherer

We were in the area to visit with family over Christmas. It's very difficult to get spots and any of these state parks at this time of year but we persisted. there's a bicycle trail that goes all the way from the park to Venice Beach or up north to Sarasota. The atmosphere in the park was delightful and Christmas was celebrated in full force.

Extra Fees For Dump Station Access

If you want access only to the dump station (10$) they will charge you entrence fees for the park (5$). If you want access to drinkable water to refill they will charge you another 5$. So it is 20$ total.

Quiet Surronds

Away from main road with good sites and biking trails. Clean amenities and well kept.

Nous avons passé une semaine à cet endroit . Il y a une grande variété d'activités : piste cyclable , trails , plage accessible facilement ,observation d'oiseaux.......climat agréable .beaux grands terrains

Good Bike Trail Access

GPS: 27.17032, -82.47574 (at gatehouse) Internal paved trail and connection to the 10.6 mile paved Legacy Rail Trail at east side of the park. http://www.sarasotalegacytrail.com Lots of loud party people frequent this park. Plan your visit to be here mid-week and off season.
