It Will Do
Underutilized and underfunded but mother nature takes care of it he beauty. The man made stuff, not so much. The camp host is pretty lackadaisical about their duties. Their definition of clean lyes outside the center of the bell curve for sure as does their approach on basic daily handyman maintenance.
Roads were pothole city on my visit. Sites are nice with bear lockers if you are tenting. No hookups. Electric boxes are present but padlocked and those sites have crime scene tape coordinating them off from use.

Electric is currently unavailable and if you have an camper longer than 20ft it's going to be tight

My stay at fore lake was an adventure what camping is suppose to be its beautiful mornings bring you back to your childhood growing up in the ocala national forest the park manager and maintence team were very nice making my stay even more comfortable I stayed for two weeks and I couldn’t ask for a better time I had to leave a couple of days due to my not being prepared for the cold but that’s camping can’t wait to come back and relive some more memories that would have been forgotten thank you fore lake and the people and managers of this exceptionally well maintained park. Wonderful Place To Stay.
The host was wonderful, very professional, courteous, and thorough. The sites are close together, but the maintenance and care of the park allows for the illusion of privacy.
The area does have black bears and other possible creature encounters, so be prepared to ensure safe, locked storage of foods.

Very good place to unwind and close to Silver Springs State Park.
