Great Park, Stayed May 12-17, 2023

Loved this state park. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Park is well maintained and clean. Restrooms, showers great water pressure and clean, well maintained. Sites are large with several that are paved for handicapped use. Sites have plenty of wildlife and shade from the hot sun. Tons of walking trails and picnic areas. All sites have water and electricity 30/50 amps. Dump station is easy to pull into and out of. About 5-10 drive to Destin over the bridge. Very easy to get to.

Beautiful Life Oaks And Lake

Nice small campground, park and lake. Sites are oriented perpendicular to the road, which is narrow, so backing in is not as easy as when sites are angled acutely to the road. There are several spacious sites, and most are gravel, but a few are, unfortunately, dirty (muddy) sand. Lots of trees (beautiful live oaks) & shrubbery between sites provides some privacy. The bathhouse is well maintained and clean with new washers & driers.

Beautiful location and so well maintained. Can be alittle noisy if the military airport gets going. Large spots, we were in 20, with plenty of space with bushes and trees between spots. There is a small beach area along the bay side and the trails are great. My only complaint is that with no sewage connections at the camp spots, there is only 1 bathroom/bath house. Other than that Great place!!

Great Stay!!

Stayed here for 5 days. Spots are large and private. Bathrooms and showers clean. Hosts Billy and Shirley were great! Can think of nothing negative about this campground although it was a little cold during our stay ☹️We’ll be back!

Great RV Park

We stayed for several weeks, minus the weekends because of reservations made so much in advance! The staff are great, the amenities are super clean, site are spacious and offer reasonable privacy from neighbors! Of all of the campsites (mostly as backpackers, this time as RV campers) we've traveled through, this has to be the cleanest we've ever seen! Recommend to anyone who just wants a quiet getaway for a great rate for all ages! This place is not a yuppi or me or I generation focused as alot of parks are now becoming! Rarely do I ever give 5-Star Reviews. Kinda don't want to for fear of it turning into a yuppi mad show off place like most of them are or do become! Oh well, only a few more years for this gross me I generation! LOL!]

Camper

What a gym. Small in size, 42 sites, and only 1 wash house. Sites are large and mostly isolated. Wash house is air conditioned! Staff was very nice.

Very nice park. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Not on ocean side but on intercostal waterway. Park is well shaded more so than beach parks. Restrooms and showers were cleaned everyday. Stayed for three days. Also if you camp here you get a free pass to Henderson beach. We have 25ft C class and tow dolly with small car. Able to maneuver into sites with ease. Spacious sites as well. Nice park!

Nice, Long and level lots. Most sites are wired as well. Most also have privacy. We did not have any problems parking or 41 foot 5er. The road around the campground is narrow but we were able to maneuver our fifth wheel and truck around. Reasonable rates. We will stay here again.

Nice Quiet Beautiful Setting

Sites worse and I'm not particularly level and not particularly level. Some sites were facing the water but those have to be reserved well ahead of time. Water and Electric available no Wi-Fi. Bathrooms or simple but clean showers had benches and hooks for hanging your things. Roads were paved throughout the site, boat ramp kayaks & canoes available to rent and playground. Nice area for walking and getting out and about. Staff was very helpful and accommodating and friendly.

The campground is wonderful! Quiet,clean, mostly private sites. Flat easy to level A definite return trip here

Very nice campground, sites well spaced and level, clean restrooms/showers, pretty location with lots to do. Only downside is nearby AFB if you're looking for quiet.

Quite and scenic views. Toll bridge to Destin $4 to cross each time. Clean Restrooms And Laundry Units. Would definitely stay again.

Thank you for your wonderful campsite. Stayed 3 days and 3 nights. Very well maintained and plenty to do while visiting. The staff was outstanding.

Beautiful And Close To Everything!

Stayed in site #25, which is a pull thru. Loved this campground and wish we could have stayed longer! Well maintained and super friendly foresters. Large lot sizes (see pics) and beautiful hiking trails.

Very nice and clean campground. Bathrooms cleaned daily. Friendly workers. Lots of room and trees between sites. Great hiking trails. Very impressed.

Stayed a week,. Rangers and helpers super nice, clean restrooms, lots trees and space between lots. Great for kayaking. Would stay again. Only "problem" big weather change and the restrooms had a bad moisture problem
