Not What It Once Was

We were full timers here for 6 years. Was a pretty nice park at first, reasonably priced and well maintained. Then Treehouse Communities purchased it and things went downhill. They decided to "improve" the park by doing a shoddy job of pavering all the sites and pool. Did this instead of upgrading the run down bathrooms, clubhouse, and other amenities that desperately needed it. Then came the rate increases, one right after the other to the point that their rates are not in line with the condition of the park and its amenities. Examples are sinking pavers around the unmaintained pool. A nasty scum around the water line, an odd tint to the water. The bathrooms and showers are disgusting, smell bad, and look like they have had no repairs or maintenance since the eighties.Dogs everywhere, big dogs, aggressive dogs, and dogs with unattentive owners. Trash and dog poop bags piled up on some sites. Treehouse Communities, has a 2.1 star on google, so the reviews here appear accurate.

Promises, Promises Promises

Our family has come here for the winter season for years and it’s sad that there is simply no upper management who knows or does anything. There are relatively new corporate owners who are part of another giant conglomerate and this park has obviously slipped through the cracks in getting any needed repairs or attention. They say it’s going to be improved but have failed to deliver on even the most basic easy things… like cleaning the filthy clubhouse, Carpet in the lanai is so stained and dirty you can’t tell what color it started out. They’ve promised but not delivered on purchasing replacements for broken minimal pool furniture. They’ve promised for years they will remove broken down abandoned, rat infested trailers but they’re still there with nothing but a lot of excuses why. About a dozen “improved” sites have now gone about a week without electricity until a loud generator was brought in days into it. Now they won’t tell us rates, but want deposits for next year. Terrible!

Friendly Staff & Seasonal Guests

Perfect for an overnight on our way back from Key West...we are 56' and unhooked our Harley trailer and had plenty of room to position it in front of our concrete pad. Would be a great place to stay for a few weeks to take on the local trails & golf courses...will definitely come back...thanks Brooke for the hospitality!

Checked it out, looks a little run down. Ok, Maybe if your staying one night or stuck for some where to stay.
