Great For Animals
We don’t have a horse or any other pet but there are lots of trails for riding here. The rules are also very different from Florida State Parks where you don’t need special permission to use your golf carts. Great for riding groups and a small beach for kayaking and swimming.

Nice Florida Forest Service Campground
This and other campgrounds in the Blackwater River State Forest are NOT US Forest Service owned or operated so the federal 50% discount passes are not accepted. Active, retired or honorably discharged veterans and those over 65 regardless of residency get a $10 discount from the $25 camp fee for a site with 50/30/20 amps and water. There is no fee per vehicle. The dump station is a 2 holer with non-potable water.
Camp has 60 horse stables, 58 paddocks, 124 dog kennels and 67 campsites almost all of which, unfortunately, are reserveable through Reserve America. Many reserved campsites remain empty while people without reservations are turned away.
Anyway, it's a nice, quiet, well maintained campground with friendly staff. A good value.
