Escape Here From Hurricane Helene
Nice secure large campground with rangers patrolling over night. WI-FI is good enough to stream Netflix. Many concrete slabs, but the placement of the water, elec, and sewer is such that very hard to stay hooked to tow vehicle, a travel trailer. Park appears to be very old, but kept very well. Next to Polk Parkway but no road noise due to a large earthen berm. Lady in office very nice. Will be back for next evacuation.

New Years
Stayed with the Tibs group and had a great time. The New years party was great. Finger food by Publix was good as was the D.J.
However my campsite was very small for my 35 ft motorhome. The slab was so thick, my steps hung up on it. Even after adding 2" of pads under my jacks.
Because site was so small I couldn't get far enough away from slab , without hitting water or electric hookups.
Also dog poop all over.
After all is said and done, I would definitely stay here again, but on a better site.

Enjoyed the nature trails and the park, however something sprung the security guard on us being younger. Everytime I came in the gate he would stop me, asking personal questions which wasn’t a big deal until he tells me he’s charging me for another site because we parked the truck in another site (briefly, we ran to dinner and all the spots around us were open). I apologized and told him we didn’t think it was a big problem and had noticed everyone else in the park doing it, so it wouldn’t happen again. He then proceeds to call me stupid and say he’s calling the cops to kick us out. Long story short, they don’t like a younger crowd than their normal here, and I probably won’t be back

Made this our stop on the way to Key West. The restaurant on site is a little iffy. You never know when it is going to be open. I suggest have a car for shopping and eating. Good camp spots and a great golf course. Overall a good spot.

Nice, clean, spacious spots. Some spots on concrete some on grass. Level. Nice pool area and laundry facilities. This park is quiet and has ponds and walking trails. You can walk to the golf course next to property. You need a vehicle to go to grocery store, etc because this RV resort sits just south of Lakeland and is not close to shopping.
