Stayed for almost 3 weeks, campground open @ 50% capacity, (covid-19 protocol) so every other site is closed. Campground was kept beautifully and bathroom was very clean. Lots of locals using the park on weekends. First come first serve. Park is 1/3 electric and water, 1/3 water hookup only, and 1/3 primitive no hookups. Bring bug spray late spring and summer.

My wife and I spent 2 nights here. We were lucky to get an electric and water spot. Would stay longer but already have reservations at another place. We definitely recommend this campground!

Nice Primitive Spot

We were lucky to get a primitive spot and stayed 3 days. No electric sites opened up during our stay. Gossip is that hosts and rangers are allowing folks to stay indefinately by not checking on stay length. Very dark at night and very quiet. Primitive sites have palmettos around them and are in thick trees making them very private. $4 for the night with access pass.

Beautiful

Stayed in an electric site 6 nights in January. Very well maintained. Spotless restrooms. Shower rooms were a little worn, but still nice with plenty of hot water. The washer and dryer were very nice. This is one of the few Forest Service campgrounds that will allow a 30-day stay.

Restrooms are clean. Laundry facilities are clean. Several electric spots with 50 amp service. Dump station. Grounds are mowed and clean. Internet and cell service with Verizon. Pavilion for family outing. Swimming area and basketball court. I spent a week here. Stayed in both tent area and electric site. 15 Miles to town for supplies. Go and enjoy...

Excellent campground

Very very nice place. We have electricity in our spot. We've stayed here before. It's quite relaxing. Huge sites so no one can really bother you. Laundry machine takes cc, so no need for quarters. . Very dark at nite with beautiful stars. Bring fire wood, you'll want some. First come first serve. Take a chance, you can dry camp while you wait for a spot. (Water included) dump station conveniently located by the entrance. Safe travels

You can get an electric site during the week. Tends to be full on weekends. Nice showers and even laundry. Great place.

Very peaceful and quiet. First come first serve, drive around choose your spot go back to the entrance sign yourself and pay easy as that. Nice little getaway for a day or two.

First come on sites. Spent one night without electricity but a spot open the next day. Friendly host told me about the open spot. Most all the sites will hold larger rigs. Mine was a 29 ft and towing a 5x8 trailer.

I camped at Ocean Pond last winter. Very nice campground. Quiet, secluded, off the beaten path. Large campsites. On a big lake. Good kayaking and canoeing on the lake.
