A Beautiful friendly Campground!
We stayed here for at least a month! We had wonderful experiences! We loved biking around the lake., long walks, beautiful scenery. The pool was relaxing, & the beach was nice too! They have a fun cafe too, with lots of great choices of food as well as cocktails. We loved karaoke night. From adults to young kids singing, what a fun way to spend family time! Everyone seems to be enjoying their time here, I can’t wait till book next year!

Nice Campground With A Few Con's
Very nice campground off major access to 95. Very clean facilities. Awesome, affordable restuarant on a beautiful lake. Staff extrememly helpful and pleasant.
Cons: absolutely no Wi-Fi service. Some sites are right off rte 295 and are very noisy. Majority of sites just grass, gravel and sand (but level)

Ferrell Cats Crapping Everywhere
Lots of full-time campers, the lake is pretty with lighted fountains and a beach. Pool, which we didn't use, laundry and bathrooms were clean. Two stars because of price and the Ferrell Cats are fed by the residence which in turn creates CRAP everywhere. Be careful walking your dogs. Ours kept looking for the smell and insisted its good to eat. Argh. $400 per week.

SO MANY BUGS!
I’ve never seen so many bugs at an RV park before. I’ve lived in Florida most of my life so I’m familiar with the bugs here but this place is over-the-top overrun by bugs. We’ve had problems with ants, spiders, wasps, and phorid flies, which are super gross because they like to feed on the sewer hoses that are leaking around the park and then land on your face!
I’ve talked to the office several times and There has been nothing done besides putting down a few granules on a couple of ant piles and that’s it.
They actually told me that I could hire my own pest control company if I wanted to!
We actually left our rig at the RV park because they would not give me a refund and went to stay with relatives nearby.

We Will Be Back
This is a lovely Old Florida style campground on a pretty lake. Staff is super helpful; on site cafe is handy if you don’t feel like looking for a restaurant. Easy on and off the freeway. Perfect halfway site for us coming from NC.

Good Lord - Never Again
Just an overnight thing ... I would have walked away and forfeited my monies if I had planned to stay longer.
Escorted to site ... Getting there was more like 4 wheeling. Surprised we did not get stuck in the sand/dust pulling into a semi level spot. Tree prevented use of awning ... Branches on roof. Paving in progress .. Stinks like tar for hours. Hooking up to sewer finds it full with turds floating 4" from opening. Wi fi, but no internet unless you create an account with an unsecured connection. It looked like a dust bowl. This is no "resort" beware. It has potential ... But that is all

The entire staff is Great in all respects. Management keeps order, sites along south side of lake are shady, with good views, and Close to a small breakfast lunch grill.
Camp ground has potential to Be really nice. Bath house 2 stars, laundry 2 stars, sites extremely noisy along interstate 275.
Very dust place , the whole place is wore out.

Not All They Say It Is
Just pulled out after 3 night stay. Site was on water and very nice. Park itself is well maintained.
The drawback...
Made my reservation several weeks prior to arrival, which included husband and two boys 10, 15. I was not told at the time of the reservation that the pool would be closed for cleaning. It's Spring break-80+ degrees? You can't do that in February?
Furthermore all three paddle board were cracked/leaking. Jump pillow closed and the Family Fun Zone they feature throughout their advertisement? Closed until May/June -when they kids are out of school down there and can supervise the area...and apparently that is only on the weekends.
So, we pulled out in the AM, returned in the PM.
Wish they could be upfront about the status of the park.

Nice Place
We stayed February 2018 and our stay was nice and quiet. There is a little interstate hum in the background at night but easy enough to sleep through. If you choose a lake spot be prepared for lots of pine trees and sap. The on site store was one of the best we've seen. Has a little of everything. The pool was closed for winter but it's not really winter in Florida at this time. We visited the zoo that is only 20 minutes away and it was really a great zoo. There is an on site restaurant that serves burgers and stuff and also has bingo in the evenings. I think it was only open on the weekends for food though. We will probably stay again next year during our club meet.

Loved this place. They escorted us to our site and let us stay an extra day because of bad weather. They pick up trash every day at your site. Very busy place, and very nice people.

What a joke.
Spent days trying to get a reservation. After countless calls and emails, mostly me calling them, they told me that my RV was too bad condition. My RV is a little old, but in great condition, and only 60k miles. It's not rigged up in any way, just slightly aged paint, that's all. Flamingo lake can go to hell.

Excellent!
I live near Flamingo lake and have stayed here many times. The park is clean and the staff are excellent. The lake is great for the grandkids to play in and the cafe has tap beer and good food. Get a spot in the back of the park to be away from the highway noise.

Stayed in overflow - water and 30 amp only, but for 3 days it was not a problem. Sat night they have a live band that quit playing at about 10:30. Nice place but right off the freeway so lots of traffic noise all night. Staff was very friendly.

Theft
First negative post ever for me. We have had 30 plus stays this season..all good. We left RV in secure locked area for one week. Asked specifically about security. Upon return trailer hitch was gone. Replacement cost was $100. Asked staff about possibility of comp nights to cover cost given they acknowledged that only authorized people have access to "secure locked area". Attendants response was negative and with a smirk. Owner would have to approve and he won't. When we stated we would post comment he got aggressive and said OK we will blacklist and you can leave now. Not necessary because we had no plans to return.
