Party Spot
It's a nice tube or kayak down the river on a week day, but it's a party spot on the weekends.

Drunken Frat Campground
Tubing down the river is great....the camping not so much. There is a rules sheet for Ginnie Springs but no enforcement of any of them. ATVs and golf carts going up and down the dirt road constantly, and counter of the traffic flow, when they are supposedly “prohibited.” There are no “quiet hours.” This is a tent city of college kids getting away from UF for the weekend and they come here to whoop it up and stay up all night after a day of drunken river tubing. We had a 37’ RV on a campsite and next door to us was a myriad of tents and no fewer than 20 college kids partying all night long. Calls to the main office, where they said the would send security to quiet them down, resulted in a drive by of security without them stopping to quiet or disband the party. Follow up calls at 11:30pm went unanswered and straight to a voicemail loop.
As for the river tubing, that was fun....until a group 10 jet skis kept going up and down the river causing waves that almost dump you overboard.

If you want to go tube down the springs or swim for the day this is great the spring itself is just beautiful but on the flip side this is a college drunken camp ground or bring your own alcohol weekend party site. If thinking of staying don't look at holidays plan a during the week stay if you plan on a family vacation because I can assure you, you don't want your kids there during the weekend.
