During my first time at this campground with my owners, this very nice man came to our site. He had treats for me in his golf cart. Now I check all the golf carts in the campground for treats in the dash. I even let him do a test for my DNA. Of course I had to have one more treat for this. When I return this spring (my fourth year) nobody can say I was a bad girl for not reminding my owner to pick up after me. I don’t mind keeping him on a leash either.
As for the lab test. It is very accurate. Plus, with this policy the campground is very clean for me to walk my owner around. I have heard of only a very few humans being fined for not being pooper scoopers. So the campground isn’t making a lot of money from the fines. Only the non-pooper scoopers need to complain.

Great campground, we stop there each time we head to the Keys. It is an older campground but is very clean and the staff members are outstanding. Will camp there again.

Required Dog Cheek Swab For DNA
This park charges $40 per dog for a cheek swab. That’s right a cheek swap. They send it off to a lab so that if they find dog poo in the campgrounds they send it off to the lab for assessment so that they can fine the owner $75.
Here’s my concerns with such practice:
How do they prove that they didn’t mess up filing one owner’s dog DNA accidentally as another owners?
they could have an agreement with the lab to prove that some poop belonged to an owner so they could fine them? Granted, $75 isn’t big bucks, but if you have 1,000 people with pets at your park and they charge 200 people with the fine they just made $15,000 not including the $40 per dog. I wonder how many times they’ve handed out the fines. What’s the accuracy rate of the lab that they use?
There’s proving disposed of poop was mishandled by trash guy or raccoon gets into it, etc
I also wonder how that would hold up in court? what about the cats and their poop?!
They should just say no dogs allowed.

Impressive Staff
We stayed for 2 nights and had a great time. The staff was amazing and very eager to help from parking the travel trailer to some setup tips. Has a couple nice lakes to fish, swimming pool and some scenic walking paths. Will be visiting again!
