Destin Rv Review
October 16-22 2021 - Pros are it is beautiful, small and quiet. Short hop to the beach, bars and shopping. It’s a very small, very busy campground; it’s always full. Most of the rigs are new, huge and have their own satellite service and large bathrooms. Cons are there is only ONE family restroom to service this campground. It has 2 showers, a toilet and a urinal. One chair. NO hooks on the wall to hang your bag or towels. And if there is a family in there, be prepared to wait. WiFi turns itself off after a short time. No one that we talked to has been able to get cable tv to work. The pool is on the small side, which is fine, but it is full of leaves and debris. We sat at the pool for an hour after being at the beach all day and the pump kicks on and off periodically, but the leaves and debris are not sucked into the filter. I haven’t seen any pool maintenance people since we got here. Staff is a husband and wife who live nearby. It’s a nice place but won’t be back.

Great-But different
We aren’t used to camping like we did at this resort but it was definitely great. What we enjoyed was: access to the beach within walking distance, walking distance to restaurant and shopping, pool, and fairly private spot with the way landscaping was. We also did laundry which was great. What we didn’t like: WiFi didn’t even show up from the furthest spots away. We brought our dog so letting our pup go to the bathroom was difficult with the lack of grass you need to go outside the park. Gated access was nice but made it kind of annoying with all the gate codes. The price was spendy but for what you get we felt like we understood it just based on its location. The last thing was we could only park one vehicle and it’s difficult but again when you know what to expect it’s fine. It’s a touristy place so it’s definitely a fun experience but it’s just totally different when you’re used to camping rather than parking. All and all we would definitely park here again.

Wonderful Week At The beach
We stayed here for a week and were very pleased with our choice. It is hands-down the best place to stay in Destin. It is a small RV park with only 35 or so sites, but they are not on top of each other. Our site had a tall hedge around it for patio privacy, but it did make it a little tight when backing in. It’s located right across the street from the beach and you have a private gate 100 yards away with a code to access the beach. Also, dogs are not allowed on the beach. It is next to a surf shop to get souvenirs and across the street from Surf Hut restaurant which was delicious. It was packed and almost all were maskless. The only feedback I would provide is we were asked to take the dogs alongside the park, but outside the park. I understand as it’s mostly bushes and palm trees instead of grass for them, but it was something we weren’t all the comfortable with after dark. Overall, it is a hidden gem that we would definitely stay again on our next trip to Destin.

Terrific Little Gem
We are new RVers and this was the third campsite we stayed at in our Class A. We loved this place! It’s small, intimate and very clean with nice concrete cobblestone pads and great landscaping. We stayed in #21 for 4 nights which we really liked because we only had neighbors on one side. The other side was a fence so it was private. However on the other aide of the fence there were times in the morning where large trucks would come early and it was a tad noisy. This didn’t happen every day though. The location is terrific and walking distance to the beach, and outlet mall and restaurants. We looked at Camp Gulf while we were there and it was a bit more rustic than this as was Geronimo. This is a bit more “classy” as they only allow RVs that are 22’ minimum and 10 yrs old or newer. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because of the very slow internet. Make sure to go have the fish tacos at the Surf Hut at the end of the street. They are some of the best we’ve ever had!

We LOVED this Place!
7 day stay in March. This place is a gem! Mike was so kind during the booking process. Yes, this rv resort is on the pricey side comparatively, however it was 100% worth it. Only campers 10years old and newer are allowed. Tight squeeze to turn and back up, but the grounds and landscaping were beautiful and well maintained. Our spot felt very private. The entry and exit gates lock at night. The WiFi worked perfect for us. There are two washers and two dryers at $2.50 each. I’ve paid more...but, I’ve certainly paid less! The pool is heated. You can walk to the beach, or drive across the street and park at the restaurant and walk from there. There is a coded gate to the boardwalk to get beach access. The beach was not overly crowded. There’s a hose at the swimming pool gate that you can spray your kids down with after a day at the beach. The bathrooms were clean and water was hot. Just wish we could have had a campfire. Owners were so helpful. Close to everything. We will be back SOON

Booked a site for 5 days in early Dec, 2017. Very nice park but could be a little tight for larger RV’s. I did not pay attention to the confirmation but price of $79 per night ended up at approx another $8.75 per night for things like booking fee, water hookup fee & electrical surcharge fee. I have not been to every RV park in the US but the ones I have visited have never had the additional fees. And of course Sales Tax on everything which you would expect.

Expensive But Good Location
The spots all have concrete tables and paved patios, great landscaping but they are a pin to get into. There's only one way in and out so be mindful when approaching. Office staff was nice.

This could be a real hem. It's begining to show it's age. The WIFI is almost non existent. Very tight entry and exit and to compound that all the travel trailers with their oversize pickups block the way. I have a 45 ft RV and had a terrible time getting in and out of the park. The exit is very tight and blind on your left side. On a positive note it's close to shopping and the beach with private access. Also, restaurants are close as well.

Not for B Class
This is not your average rv park. ..Spotsylvania are owned and then rented out. .. they didn't have one available but wouldn't not have let us stay there anyhow because our rv is too small? $94 a night. .. no amenities that I could see except being pretty close to the beach
