Exceptional Campground
This super clean, full amenities campground is well worth the price. The best wifi of any campground, a well stocked store, beautiful place with the river running through , nice pool and everything to entertain the kids or grandkids. I have been to many “resorts” that were not as complete and offered less for more.

Expensive For What You Get
Stayed for five days at the end of April, for the last few days of Steamboat's ski season. Just a 15 minute drive to the ski resort, 8 minutes to downtown, and as mentioned by others the free shuttle runs regularly through as well, which was great. Dusty, gravel pads, and a wide variety of rigs that look like they can't or haven't moved in years (most in need of paint), also adjacent to one of Steamboat's trailer parks. Pool looked nice and new, but not open in winter season. Did not use bathrooms, wifi was OK, Sprint/TMobile service was good. Overall, seems like a place like Steamboat could use a more upgraded RV facility with the classic 10 year or newer approach, which was really at the price point we were paying. Good for a few days to check off your five Ikon Steamboat days. Check out our travel blog at http://tripleacres.com/Lillback1

The layout of this place is really wierd with RVs at every angle. Not a pretty place. We were back against a wood fence with a bit of a motley crew on either side of us. Just didn't get the clean, tidedy feeling a KOA should have.

2nd Time We Have Been Here
First time through was 2019 and we were tent camping...The tent camp site we had was really nice (nice enough that we wanted to return)...this time we were given an odd (trailer) spot facing the highway in front of a somewhat nasty pond...very unpleasant. We requested another spot back in the tent camping area..no utilities but WAY better vibe all around (though there is a burn pit near the back of this section which is kinda creepy)..bathrooms were clean and they even had charging stations set up for electronic devices. Long review short..tent camping area across the bridge is a whole different vibe than the RV/trailer side. One night while here, I was walking my dog and a bear cane strolling in front of us, so pay heed to bear warnings. They are for real!

Very enjoyable, spent two nights enjoying the stream and colorful trees. Free bus supplied by Steamboat Springs that runs to town and back 3 time an hour until ~ 10PM. Many good restaurants, bars etc in town and many old buildings and western history. Folks at the park are very helpful and friendly, nice, well stocked store. My only wish was for accessible wi fi...I found it none existent even though it is advertised. The instructions do admit It is a vert week intermittent signal but it never came up on my my iPad or iPhone as available.

The park was ok, maybe better in the summer. We paid $65 for one night to stay in a mud pit. I realize it had been raining but, how about some gravel or concrete? Park looked kinda trashy for a KOA and for the price.

Expensive! $65 for our site. Sites are not level & very close together. They advertise wifi, but upon checking in give you a paper that says it probably won't work. And that was correct. Couldn't connect at all. On the plus side they're close to town & have a friendly staff.

On Shuttle Route, Close To Town
We stayed for 1 night while passing through Colorado, the park itself is decent though the spots are pretty close together. The location on the river is very tranquil and there are a lot of activities (pool, mini golf, basketball, bike rental) right at the park with a decent campground store. The park is also the first stop on the red shuttle route to town which is convenient. The campsite is expensive at almost $50 a night, and also has issues with wifi. Our wifi didn't work at all and they give you a flyer at check in saying this is normal and to not expect to do business or important activities over wifi. Our cable also did not work (not a big deal for a 1-night stay) but other than that the park was a good location near the attractions of Steamboat.

Close To Town
This is a KOA park. Close to the town and has a bus that comes through front of park 3 times each hour and drops you into town. Friendly staff at front desk. We had a E and W site beside creek. Nice spot but almost $52 for one night after Labor day. This was more than campgrounds close to Yellowstone. Bathrooms had nice water pressure but were sloppy at end of day. Regrouting and maintenance needed.
