Beautiful, austere, silent
This high desert plateau is stunning with its sage brushes and wild flower bushes. I woke up and walked out to the most profound silence accompanied by bright morning sun. Very clean sites, each with a covered picnic table and cement slab.

30/50 amp hookups. Facilities and area are very clean and well-maintained. Great birdwatching and small wildlife activity is abundant. Lake is a beautiful turquoise and the camp spots are nicely spaced, providing a degree of privacy. Fire pits, picnic tables, sturdy shelter at each spot. Looking forward to the next visit.

Lovely Park With Nice Views
We stayed at the Cedars campground within Rifle Gap State park. Sites were level gravel and terraced up a slight hill so every site overlooks the lake. We liked it enough that we altered our trip a little so we could stay there a second time on our return trip.

Beautiful Clear Water
We camped here in May. It was absolutely gorgeous! There were vault toilets and flushing toilets. The vault toilets were some of the cleanest I'd ever seen. The flushing toilets and showers were a little messy, but there were quite a few tent campers using them. We loved being so close to the water and having easy access to get in and out with our SUPs.
