WHAT A FANTASTIC PLACE TO RV! We stayed in one of the full hookup sites on Coot Pond Loop. It was completely flat and level. Table cover was nice. Fire pit was perfectly placed and the hookups were “no problems whatsoever.” The Rangers and Game Wardens were very friendly and informative. The fly fishing on Coot Pond was more miss than hit until I learned the best times. Then it was all hit, no miss!! We will definitely return. A gem near Denver!!

Nice, clean, well maintained park, but the road noise was a turnoff. On my morning walks i could not hear the birds or the wind in the trees because of the road noise from I-25. Pit toilets in the campground, nice restrooms with pay showers centrally located in the campground. Not sure I would stay again.

Utilities (continued)
75 watt halogen light in my water bay as freezing temperatures were expected. I checked the outlet after he left and the polarity was still reversed. He had screwed up the outlets so badly you couldn't physically plug anything into it.
This guy was a classic case of ego unmatched by ability. I told the office people it still wasn't fixed but if he was the best they had they shouldn't send him until after we left.
BTW. Almost all Colorado State Parks are not a very good value as the state stopped providing general fund revenues to CPW in 2004 so they are deteriorating without sufficient revenues for operations and maintenance. A small amount goes to capital improvements.
I think Colorado voters expected more from the tremendous amounts we were supposed to get from approving the lottery and marijuana sales. I know I did.

Great Place
Everyone not very close, plenty of open space. Walking trails ponds for fishing easy pull though. Plenty of trees as newer area less trees
