Beautiful But Pricey
Beautiful site, close to great hiking, but... No potable water, no electricity, no trash pick up, pit toilets for $43 per night w/o a pass. CO parks don’t deserve their low $ symbols.

After a long drive we settled on this site for a nights camp, it was great! We used a tent, and the site we had was #21 it was clean and away from the main camp area. Very peaceful and the views were great. We hiked ruby mountain in the morning and found garnet in the rocks above. I highly recommend camping here!

Never Want To Leave
No hook ups but absolutely a slice of heaven, right on the river, beautifully groomed gravel sites, geo caching, and great OHV trails. Wish I could have stayed longer! Try and get site #7 it is the best! It’s $7 extra if you don’t have a CO annual state parks pass.

Camp Host Rude
We paid for a day pass at the overlook day park over looking Buena Vista. It was raining this weekend and we did not have a pin. We paid for the $7 day past and then went the ruby mountain campground. We parked our RV because it a 36' and easier to walk and look at sites. There was a site open and we looking to see if we would fit when the anger camp host lady came up to us. She camp up to us very rudely, I am guess because she did not think we paid. We asked about the site she was very rude and told us everything was full even though it was left empty. She told us she wanted us to leave even when after showing we had the pass just not filled out because the paper wet and we did not have a pen. I offered to pay again the $7. She told us she just wanted us to leave. I can't believe she was so rude to a paying customer. I hope they do t let her stay there next summer. Beautiful camp site.
