Great site and park. Pools were fun. We didn't have bikes. But the bike paths looked like fun. I have to say that the trees are everywhere and very established. Beautiful. Stars were out over the campfire. We went to San Diego then returned to vail a week later to see family. We had a place for our tow trailer that was comfortable and easy to get too. There are 3 different sections of the park. We stayed in the oaks. Many kids activities putt putt golf course, Frisbee golf, bike trails, 3 pools, kids barrel rides, coloring. Coming soon tiny home stays. The model was incredible! 14 min drive to town. Comfortable isolation....

First Stay, Coming Back
Stayed at Arroyo full hook ups. Not many people here because of covid. Great place to ride around with family and see all the different areas. Great place to mountain bike as well. Verizon service was OK through phones but was able to get a good connection using Jetpack with netgear omni MIMO antenna and with Yagi Directional Antenna. Using Jetpack, I was able to streaming Netflix and do HD zoom meetings.

We stayed 4 nights starting 10/26/20 in the Chardonnay Mesa. Lots of room for our 40 ft Class A, with 3 slides. Great views. Although we have a 50 amp rig, the weather was fine to use the 30 amps at these sites. The 50 amp sites are in the area below with nice trees. There is no lake access currently, but a great place to ride bikes, hike, or play miniature golf. Pools closed due to cold, but they looked nice. The roads are fine, but could use some paving repair. One section only has water & sewer, but we had full hook ups. If you like Halloween, this place is for you, activities and decorating contests. Great mountain bike trails (beginner to advanced) nearby. I stayed here 50 years ago, was fun to reminisce. Beautiful grounds, trees and lawns. Will definately stay again.

Lots Of Potential
It’s now a KOA RV Resort. We stayed at Rincon section and each sites are wide and long. We could put literally 10 tents behind our RV. During that weekend we stayed at Vail, temperature was 102. Only the pool was keeping as under 80. We also hiked to the Vail Lake along the dry riverbed. Wineries are not far. There was an old water slide and road are cracked. Fix those and we should be there every other weekend.

Great Experience
This was my first time here but I highly recommend this campground. Lots to do, kid friendly, full hookups, pool was awesome but get there early. Me and my family had a great time.

I Want To Love This Place
We've been camping here for years. Lots to do. Pools, mini golf, basketball, hiking, biking, etc. Since the KOA took over, some of the roads have been fixed and I've noticed the place is a bit cleaner. The new "Check In System" sucks. They also took away E-Z ups and chairs at the pool, so bring your own. And my biggest complaint is they do not trim their trees, which is a serious issue for RVs and trailers (like ours). We had a hard time getting to our spot, and actually had to switch spots, which was a huge pain in the axx. This place has potential to be the best...but not quite there yet.

After The So Cal Rains
This new to KOA Resort had their hands full with resent rains. When entering the Resort, you can see where new rivers crossed the roads and left mud and debris. They had it all cleaned up but many of there direction signs were gone. We had stayed here before and it’s still a very nice place to stay. Great views when staying in the upper levels.

Not Happy With Service
This is a beautiful park, we have stayed there before. Unfortunately hi their service. Our "family" has grown to three dogs. Their total body weight is not over 70 lbs. Reading the rules we noticed a two dog minimum so we called and asked if there were exceptions, extra fees, etc to allow all three. We were first told yes, then no, then call back and talk to manager. After several calls, the manager was never available. We felt like we were being jerked around. We decided to stay at Lake Skinner.

Very Nice
Great campsites that are large and clean. Lots of activities and nice people. Very helpful and it felt very secure. The location worked well for us. Close to wineries, hiking and the beach.

Nice Place To Stay
We stayed in Merlot Mesa; sites were nice and wide. There isn’t much light around which makes for a beautiful night sky. Loved the bike trail. Close enough to several wineries.

We had a great weekend even without electricity! Stayed in Arroyo Seco, Space 411... try to reserve this one!! End of row and under trees. Nice campground! Enjoyed the pool and Bloody Mary's on Saturday. Bathrooms need some TLC, but we used the one on our RV. I recommend staying at Vail Lake Resort!

Great Place
Great place to camp. Easy to navigate with a 26ft trailer for a newbie like me. Campgrounds are well kept, you can see maintenance workers throughout the campground. Private security does checks almost on an hourly basis. Great amenities: basketball court, miniature golf, pool, horseshoe toss, and bike trails. Restrooms are pretty clean for a campground standard. Only reason they don't get 5 stars is they are too pricey. They'll charge you for everything. I arrived early and was charged additional even though my camping spot was empty upon arrival. Pool was great! Only downfall it's not heated, so it's super cold. Overall great experience.

Great Place
Loved my weekend here. So much for the kids to do and a great place for adults to kick back and relax. I for one appreciated the security patrolling the park, made it feel safer. Bathrooms need to be improved. Overall, great place and I can't wait to come back.

Pricey, But Still Our Favorite
I'd give it 5 stars but the price is greatly inflated. We've been here pretty much every season and weather conditions and have always found something to like on every trip. The camp hosts and employees are great. If you are wanting a quiet time, stay up top in the "Upper Chardonnay". If your looking to let your kids run wild and like adults staying up late, stay in the "Oaks". Biking, hiking, swimming, horseshoes, miniature golf, hoops, and a cool little village area with fire pits, a store, lounge, and even an arcade will keep you all busy.
